I visited a friend over at st osyth beach just this weekend that past and I can honestly say it was one of the best campsites I have ever stayed in, the beach was beautiful 5 minute walk from entertainment and the food was excellent....More

St Osyth’s to Clacton beach is approx 3 miles and apart for a small part of it through Jaywick is a very pleasant walk looking out to sea

It is a stony beach but we had a lovely view. I’m sure it’s a lovely walk as well but with young kids don’t think they would appreciate as much as the Parents.

Jaywick was run down but St Osyth was lovely and clean when I was there.

I can recommend Sailor Boy restaurant for Sunday lunch (in the pub, not the cafe) at the end of Beach Road. There is also a fantastic fish & chips next door.Both are excellent and reasonably priced. If you follow Seaview Rd... More
