This is a great family event. The walking tour is just over a mile or so. Our guide was actually an Olympic participant in 2012, and expects to be participating this year in Rio, assuming no injuries etc. There were a total of 6,,, six Olympic team members that came over and talked to our group. Each one of them... More

The Arco Olympic Training area was a closed gate operation in the beginning. Since then the kids can now practice archery and what not.

Few people know about the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. Not even sure how we stumbled on it, but so glad we did. There are only a few USOC training centers in the country, so if your are in or near San Diego, it is a must see facility. It is inspiring to see the best of the... More

The Olympic Training Center is where U.S. Olympians train year around. It is open to the public and features a large array of Olympic venues for training. It features a walking tour throughout or carts for those who need them. While visiting wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to see all the training facilities available. No charge for the tour... Having been to the center in Colorado Springs it was nice to visit this one also. A nice self-guided tour and the ability to watch some of the athletes train the day we were there. Bring a hat and sunscreen....you are in the sun the entire time. Other than in the gift shop of course.

Visited the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista. It was interesting and fun to take the self guided walk so you could see the all the different training venues for different sports as well as the visitor center and gift shop. There were athletes training at the time and it was fun to watch them practice. Good luck to all... More

We actually went to drop our daughter off there for Archery Camp. WOW. Perhaps we got the back stage visit. We toured the center which was amazing, the facility is top notch. We walked around, hit the gift shop. Beware, they only take VISA or CASH. When we were there, it was pretty quiet and empty. Saw first hand the... More

The Olympic Training Center (OTC) is not officially in San Diego, it is in Chula Vista, but that is a short enough drive (10 miles-15 minutes) that it is easy to add to any list of things you're planning on doing there. My wife and I went with my sister and brother-in-law. We went on a Saturday at 11:00 a.m.... More

3.5 stars Actually, my ratings should be in two different sets: one for the center itself (four stars), one for the staff working within the stores/guest center (1 star). It was beastly hot and incredibly uncrowded the day my cousin and I showed up for a quick look-see and the self-guided tour. We drove up the long driveway, with the... More

The self-guided phone tour wasn't working. So, we walked the mile path with only a map. You have to stay on the path. In the far distance, we could see soccer practice. At the end of the trail, we could hear gunshots, at targets??? Only people we saw were groundskeepers, besides soccer players that were very far away. There wasn't... More
