Overview
More
Yanks Air Museum houses one of the largest and most historically significant collections of American aircraft including the World War II fighters, dive and torpedo bombers. The aircraft collection begins with the 1903 Wright Flyer (only replica in collections) and continues through the 1980s era represented by the F-15 Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon and Blue Angels F-18 Hornet. The collection now numbers more than 190 aircraft and continues to grow, many are the last surviving examples of their kind. Yanks restores all aircraft to airworthy condition, in the restoration of these rare aircraft, only original factory specifications & materials are used.

Lots to see and do here. Even rides for kids. Boneyard is huge. People here are very friendly and helpful. There is even a cute cat, Connie, who does tours of the Restoration area (short ones).

I visited the museum late in the morning on a weekday. I was the only customer there, so I pretty much had the entire facility to myself. There is the vintage prop hanger and a more modern jet and helicopter hanger. Both are filled with...More

This place needs better advertising! We found it almost by accident, and it turned out to be one of my favorite aerospace museums I've been to...and I've been to a lot of them. It's definitely worth the drive from LA. It had a very good...More

Having toured both Chino air museums in the past couple of years, I made a second visit to Yanks on a Tuesday afternoon. Very quiet on a weekday so you pretty much have the place to yourself to explore at leisure. Both museums are fantastic...More

I was pleasantly surprises on the tour of the Yanks Air Museum. Do the tour in chronologic order to see the evolution of aviation. There is also a restoration area and outdoor exhibits. If you can there are sometimes docent tours which are very informative.

Photos can be trying as planes are squeezed close together. Your photography skills will be put to the test. Some very rare aircraft in the collection make a visit to this museum worthwhile. Aircraft are well represented from all ages (from a Wright Flyer replica...More

Pricing was fair. Very Commercial. Pushy about closing early. Clean exhibits. Not sure how many of the hangar Queens actually run. Large inventory of important aircraft.

While visiting relative in LA, I spent a Saturday afternoon wandering through this extensive collection. A great way to see finely engineered (and now well-restored) machines up close. I especially liked the detailed description of each craft--that plane's manufacturer and/or architect, the goals behind the...More
