We enjoyed a bottle of Marinus 2009 at a local restaurant and decided to visit the tasting room of Bernardus in Carmel Valley. We enjoyed the tasting and purchased several bottles of wine. Given our state laws, we had to ship the wine to ourselves but the staff was kind enough to pack the wine for shipment and direct us... More

The staff at Bernardus never disappoints and the wines are fabulous. I especially like the Chardonnay's and the Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir. The Marinus is a red blend that's always tasty. Bernardus is centrally located and has good parking so we usually start our Carmel Valley wine tasting there.

It is a bit of a drive back to Carmel Valley, but worth every inch of the way. Beautiful and warmer than the coast, and rustic. Bernardus does it justice. While their wines are to the higher end of the wines of the area, the tasting lets you select ones that fit your pallet. Very helpful people and the tasting... More

Our server was busy with other customers and put us in a separate room for tasting. Although their wines are good, we were not given much information other than what we were going to be drinking.

Wonderful experience and our pourer was happy to let us try wines that we enjoy. I fell in love with their chards.

This is beautiful hotel with a lovely restaurant in Carmel Valley. We were not staying at the hotel, just stopped in for some wine tasting, but it looks like it would be a beautiful place to stay as well! They did not have a typical wine tasting bar (their tasting bar is down the street), but it was so lovely... More

We visited the tasting room in Carmel Valley on Wednesday, May 20 late in the morning, just before noon. The young lady who was serving the wine was detached, uninterested, condescending, rude. There was only one other couple in the tasting room and she would not take the time to talk to us about the wine - don't know if... More

We are club members so we were here picking up our wine shipment. Excellent opportunity to taste wine!! I love the Bernardus Sauvignon Blanc- nice and refreshing. We ended up buying some of the Précis, an unbaked Chardonnay. It was on sale and perfect to spring days. The Pinot Noirs here are outstanding! The tasting room staff are friendly and... More
