This is an ok small shopping mall with some eateries and curiosity shops.
While it's not particularly exciting, it served as a good 1-hour stop for lunch during our tour.

Our main reason for going to the Plaza was to collect some information from the visitor center located on the second floor. I agree this was a well designed shopping area, open floor plan and a good assortment of restaurants and stores. Parking was easy to find on a surrounding street with two hour time limit. Bathrooms were located on the second floor and were clean.

I observed good COVID-19 practices in the stores, visitors and a decent number of hand sanitizers deployed around the plaza.

Courtyard was populated with tents for the now banned outdoor eating but you could still see the nice landscaping with seating to enjoy using proper special distancing. There was even a dedicated Fountain of Woof just for dogs. Drinking from the fountain was said to bring good luck for the dog?!?

Unfortunately the visitor center was closed. A sign did encourage visitors to call their number and staff would answer or return the message. I received my callback the next day, so maybe they were very busy?

We went to Carmel Plaza to get some take out food. This is a wonderful outdoor shopping center to walk through. Albeit, due to the virus, several businesses this time were closed. As such, it was more like window shopping.

We did some shopping at this two story shopping center called Carmel Plaza.

There is also a fee for parking parking lot at the ground level which we parked at. Some businesses will reimburse for parking. If not, pay for parking before one exits.

This place has some interesting shops and restaurants and I loved the fire pits! Great place to just hang out with a good cup of coffee or other snack. Want to spend more time there next time I'm in Carmel.

As you enter the top end of Ocean Avenue with all the stores, the Plaza will be on your left. they have three levels of shops. Several wine tasting opportunities, primarily from the Santa Lucia Highlands Region and the Carmel Valley. Be sure to check out the cheese shop. A bit pricey, but lots of tasting opportunities for cheeses from around the world.

This is the last stop of the tour we took. A nice and calming and elegant town . The plaza itself have quite a few shop and the rest are at the side of the road . But because it was raining cat and dog when we arrived so we only walk ard the plaza area. Lay back and slow if that is what u r looking for to relax.

Carmel Plaza is located on Ocean Avenue at Mission Street. It is an open air mall with about 35 small businesses where you can find one-of-a-kind fashions to specialty national brands, distinctive restaurants, gourmet shops, wine tasting rooms, salons, wellness studios, and more— in a relaxed setting.
The courtyard features several fire pits where you can sit, relax, have a beverage or snack and keep warm when it becomes chilly during the winter.
