We stayed at the Grand Pacific Palisades Hotel, and the flower fields were directly below our room. It was beautiful to look out to see them in full bloom with the ocean below. There is nothing quite like them, except perhaps in the Skagit Valley...More

The greenhouses, agricultural farms and flower fields once stretched from Del Mar to Oceanside -- this is the only patch left. Enjoy the afternoon -- take some sunscreen since it can be cloudy near hte beach yet you get a sunburn. Enjoy the ride behind...More

The flowers were exquisite and just brought peace to my heart. The rows and rows of different colored flowers were truly beautiful.

Beautiful flowers but buy tickets before hand for both entry and ride on tractor tour. It was the biggest show they had in years and there were a lot of flowers, thanks to El Nino. Could not have walked around the whole area so glad...More

A bit pricey with no discount tickets. I stopped by with an hour until close and asked it there were any discounts for only having a little time left or any discounts available. I was told no by the ticket agent, the nursery personnel and...More

The fields are lovely as are the small gardens nearby. At the end of the season, though, was disappointed to only see maybe a fifth of the fields in bloom. Must be an amazing sight when a blanket of blooms go for as far as...More

I hadn't been since 1990. Wow, how things have changed! I didn't realize access was limited, and there was now an admission charge! It also "closed" the day before we were there. There is also now an Armstrong's Nursery there. A worker clued us into...More

Flower field is literally a giant field with flowers. You can sometimes pay a few bucks to get carted around on a wagon. Here is what you will see: 1) Flowers, in different colors, variety, and arrangement depending on season. 2) Other people looking at...More

First time visiting the Flower Fields and was awed by the beauty. I will be visiting again next year but soon after they have fully bloomed.

Nice view of the flower fields from the Grand Pacific Palisades Resort. Seems to be popular as the farm was well-visited despite a rainy day.

I think San Diego Botanical Gardens, 4 freeway exits to the south from the Flower Fields, is a much more rewarding experience at the same admission price. However, it's possible Groupon has an offer for the Flower Fields... More

Either. The difference is if you buy them in advance you do not have to wait in line to buy tickets when you get there. At this time, when the flower fields just opened, the lines to buy tickets can be long, while with the... More
