I did the Classics tour, despite not having seen the vast majority of shows and movies highlighted. Granted, I rarely watch movies in general. I still found it interesting, as I know very little about the industry in general. Lots of lingo and people referenced that I did not know, but that's half the fun and sometimes the point of touring a place you don't know much about. Plenty of time after tour to explore exhibits at own pace. Surprised you could use own camera to take pics on Friends and BBT couches, so no obligation to buy professional pics. Make sure to dress for weather. If you have young children, take note that car seats are not on trolley bus. Parents in front of us learned they could split an adult ticket and take turns watching infant. They chose a refund instead. So, make sure you call to clarify options if you have car seat age kids!

Give yourself time to park and find your way to the start of the tour. We purchased tickets the a.m. of the tour we took and despite that it was off season, only a few time slots were left. The tour is 2 hours, excellent narration, tour the Warner brothers campus in an open trolley with about 15 people. Stops include water and bathroom break. Stops at various exhibits, sound stages, etc. Of note, at least 90% of the tour, maybe more, is directed at productions that are current or within the last 20 years (TV shows, movies etc) so as I am not up on contemporary media, I was not familiar with most of it. Very little historical references to old movies, animation etc. But after the tour, you are dropped off a museum that does have some memorabilia from earlier eras.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We recommend the Classics Tour, which focuses on Warner Bros. Golden Age of Film and TV including award-winning titles that shot on the iconic backlot from the early days of the Studio through the 1970’s. Hope to see you again!

After Universal, here comes Warner. Visits are timed so it is not hugely packed. After security, you are taken in golf carts to the lot and the driver/guide gives 1.30h tour of the sets. You can ask him to stop whenever you want to take photos. He usually stops at Batman exhibit and one of the sets where there is filming. The tour takes you to the storage where Warners store all set elements and costumes. You can see original pieces such as the Leg Lamp from Christmas Story. At the end of the tour, you go to interactive sets where you are filmed riding Harry Potter’s broom stick. You are also filmed at the iconic Central Perk Cafe couch from Friends. At the end of the tour, you can buy photos and videos. They are expensive: 25$/ photo. I would recommend buying the entire package for 120$. If you have a large party it is so worth it. Then you can stroll on Gilmore Girls set (and even eat there) or take one last photo on the red couch of the opening of Friends.
Really enjoyable experience.

This was my second time at the warner brothers tour in California. The last one I did was about 4 years ago and it was definitely different. The tour this time around was more of a “tourist trap” if you will. They just want to suck money from you by increasing the tour prices and having to pay for photos of the lame recreation sets. As far as the tour went, Our tour guide Sunny was great and made sure he gave everyone information based on our tour groups interests. He definitely knew his stuff and was fun! He was an exceptionally good guide. We rode around on the golf cart and got to see different areas of the lot and went into a few museums where props are displayed. The big disappointment for me was that we only got to walk into one actual sound stage - the Alibi from shameless (it could have been due to the fact that it was a week work day). For me going into a studio set is why I like doing these tours. We also did the Sony and Paramount tours the same week and those brought you onto multiple sets and gave similar information as to how shows are filmed. Overall I would recommend doing it once.

Hi Nikki! We greatly appreciate your feedback and are happy to hear that you had a good experience overall. Soundstages and backlots are subject to availability and production schedules. As a note, weekends are best for backlot and/or soundstage availability as productions typically work Monday through Friday. Thanks for visiting!

Really great tour. We did this the morning that we departed LA. The tour lasts 2 hours with a tour guide. Our tour guide Kyle was really awesome and super knowledgeable about all the sets we visited which made the tour really enjoyable. He also was able to give more information on things our group was interested in. After the 2 hour guided tour you are left on your own to explore another museum, central perk cafe and the Gilmore Girls set up outside. There are so many picture opportunities for purchase but also lots of workers were around to take pics on your phone for your group which I thought was really great. The tour was about half and half walking and on the tram they had. It’s incredible to see the studios and how much work and detail go into making the sets as well as the sound effects and music for movies, videos and TV shows. I’d say my favorite part was seeing the Ellen studio as well as the costumes actors actually wore in different movies and shows. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Tour was good, was expecting more access to actual sets. A little pricey for what was 75% self guided tour of exhibits. Friends and Big Bang was just photo ops with props and a huge gift shop. Would have liked to see a working set — not a talk show. Surprised and disappointed to see Ellen so prominently featured (intro video & on tour). Our tour guide explained that Ellen calls the waiting area for her studio audience “the riff raff room!” Reinforces Ellen’s bad rap and attitude. Warner Bros should definitely look for a better representative of their brand

We just loved the tour through the studio's. The guide knows so many facts about shows and movies that were produces. We had an LA GO pass, so entrance was free. We did reserve 2 seats at the tour, because the tour is usually full.

Despite it pouring with rain, we had a great time.firztly we did the classics tour@ $ 69 ir was great value. The guide was great and gave us some real insights, was also very keen to take and answer your questions. The inside looks at the studios and workshops are an eye opener. The highlight though was the props department an Aladdin's cave of treasures, could have spent hours in there. The exhibition of costumes, props and cinema tricks at the end was also highlt rated The gift/ souvenir had some really interesting and affordable priced items. All in all a great experience

We took this tour in early January with 2 children (9 and 11). There was plenty to interest each of us.

Clinton was our tour guide. He was the right amount of information, anecdotes and humor. He answered all the questions people had with no problem or frustration.

The kids loved the Aquaman costumes (so impressive) and Batman vehicles the best. I loved seeing the Gilmore Girls sets. Harry Potter items were a huge hit.

Definitely recommend this tour. Well run. We were there for 3 hours.

This was a good tour around the Warner Brothers property. We saw a lot of the buildings, but only got onto one set; which was interesting. We saw a lot of the backlots, plus the Batman vehicles.
The value is ok, but it would have been good to have seen more of the sound stages, as some other reviewers have said they did.

Hi there, thanks for visiting us on the Studio Tour. Please note that soundstages and backlots are subject to availability as per production schedules and we cannot guarantee any of the open lot spaces are available on a given day. We always recommend letting your guide know what you’re a fan of so that they can do their best to customize the tour to you. We hope to see you again in the future!
