Decent outing and activity in an area with not much to do. 😊
Took kids who were 6 & 7. They enjoyed it. But I wish it was enough to keep them engaged for a full hour to an hour and a half, and it wasn’t. Worth going for the live animal experience! Nothing else like it around here.

    Fun stop
Great fun stop for everyone. These huge ostriches and Emu birds will leave you smiling along with the baby ground squirrels. Make sure to get at least 2 food bowls and save food for the birds way in the back. Its a short walk in the dirt to visit with the birds. Hold the bowl through the fence slots or low over the top. Birds seem healthy and treated well with plenty of space. Leave a cash tip for them 😃

    Trip highlight!
Why didn't we do this before? This was so fun! The birds have so much free land to wander and don't have to come begging for food if they aren't hungry. They aren't aggressive but they enjoy their treat foo! We even took our dogs with us and the birds weren't aggressive. There's lots of feeding stations and viewing places. We even saw an egg! All the birds look healthy, the babies are kept separate, as are the emus.

Great Photo Opportunities at Ostrich Land
So much fun! Came all the way from Fort Lauderdale to feed the ostrichs and emus, with my adult daughter! We had a blast!!! These large creatures love the tourists feeding them! They are very animated and it’s a great photo opportunity! Plan to spend about 30 minutes here!

Fun stop to view and Hand Feed a farm of Ostriches and Emus
We detoured to Ostrich Land and Solvang on our drive up the Pacific Coast Highway. We really enjoyed this stop. Parking in front of the farm is free. There are some products for sale in the gift shop that feature ostrich related trinkets. This is where you purchase your tickets. The Farm charges a nominal fee ($7 pp) to enter the farm where the Ostriches and Emus are penned. If you are interested in feeding them, it is $1 for a small pan of feed. The Ostriches are very eager to eat and need little encouragement to approach and have some food. They are not tame, so petting is not advised. We saw some lone ostrich eggs in the dirt during our visit too. We enjoyed our stop here and would recommend to others who enjoy animal encounters.

Very unique experience, you get to see the ostriches and emus, and interact with them from a distance that’s safe for you and for them. Seems like they are treated well/humanely with room to move freely. They really do look like prehistoric creatures, very impressive to see up close. Love that you get to feed them, and plenty of photo opportunities. Would be fun with smaller kids who follow directions well. They even have baby ostriches that are very cute! The staff was very nice too. I went on a Monday and there were a lot of people so I’d recommend to avoid the weekend crowds for a better experience.

Great place overall it was small and I excpected to stay over an hour but just stayed for a little over 30 minutes just feeding the ostriches. I went on a Saturday and expected it to be busy it wasn't too busy especially for a Saturday. Overall a great expirence if you love animals and want to watch and feed these bad boys!
