The redwoods were beautiful and fun to see. There are many different trails of varying lengths and difficulty levels, so something available for all. We did the Creeping Forest Trail with our 4,6 and 13 year old kids. It was a nice hike through the...More

I didn't have time to explore the main part of the park but I spent about 45 minutes exploring Waddell Beach and watching the kite surfers. Maybe next time I can do a small trek.

The road in has been well looked after for a small two lane road. One of the few in the area with decent pavement. My family has been coming here to camp, hike and enjoy the trees since it was established n 1901. Although there...More

We visited the Great Basin National Park for the day when staying down the Valley in Santa Clara. As others have mentioned the ride over the mountains to get to the Basin is certainly fun, especially the last narrow section which winds through and around...More

There are a lot of trails, and a specific bike trail, too. It's all unpaved, but we saw bikers while we were there.
