Stopped here to checkout the Redwoods! They were amazing! Took the .63 mile Redwood Trail! Many Redwoods including The Father of all Redwoods! 250’ plus high! Would definitely return! $10 to park! Very reasonable! For what you could see!

Beautiful place. The drive up is thrilling in itself. We hiked 6 miles and it was not that difficult.

Big Basin Redwoods State Park is a majestic place to view ancient redwoods. There are many trails to hike and you can even camp there. The park is about an hour away from Silicon Valley. It is located in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

I enjoyed a couple hours of hiking, mostly without seeing anyone else and totally amazed at the scenery. Huge trees! Great trials! A super twisty and winding road to get there but that was part of the adventure. I enjoyed a coffee at the shops...More

Seeing the redwoods in this pristine state park is an experience that will stay with me a long time. A little into the drive towards the park, you start seeing the redwoods growing in their little family circles. From there you can easily be transported...More

There are a lot of trails, and a specific bike trail, too. It's all unpaved, but we saw bikers while we were there.
