We had heard about these metal sculptures from friends but were unsure how to find them. By asking a local and picking up a town guide we found them without any problem. They are somewhat randomly placed near Borego Springs Road both South and North...More

Nice change of pace from typical tourist spots. About an hour and ten minutes from greater Palm Springs. Easy add on if your going to saltan sea. The figures are in multiple spots, and I believe you can get a map.

Just think of an unemployed welder who discovered he is an artist and he has the biggest canvass to play with the Goletta Meadows. His sculptures are spread throughout the desert. Pictures can not do his creations justice

Very creative art on a grand scale, with a dramatic mountain and desert backdrop. Not mobbed with tourists -- you have it to yoursel.

There's a whole slew of these metal structure (sculptures?) spread out throughout Anza Borrega. Sort of like the world's largest buffalo to the biggest cow or some other roadside attraction. Interesting, but undoubtedly art is where or how you find it.

Dozens of horses, prehistoric mammals,...sea serpents; all bigger than life. Get a map from the Anza Borrego State Park and take a drive. A good activity after a hike when it's a bit hot to move about.

Most places in town will give you a map of where to find all of the sculptures in the desert surrounding Borrego Springs. Most are easily accessible (a little tougher getting to the dinosaurs) and photogenic. A fun activity while in the area.

The assorted metal statues scattered in Borrego Springs are fantastic! I planned an adventure to Borrego Springs with my two boys. The drive from San Diego was about 2 hours. We stopped at the Borrego Springs Visitor Center first and hiked around looking at the...More

Worth a drive to see the landscape and cool sculptures. We found a number of them just from driving past. It’s nice you can drive right up to them. I know we missed a bunch though. Lovely little town in the midst of the mountains...More
