Beautiful view . Bring sturdy shoes , you can hike all around and the dirt/ gravel can be slick, member of our group slipped and fell. Look close and you may see whales we did not see any but other visitors had.
Watch kids close...More
Walking on the trails of bodega head you will have fantastic views of the cliffs, catch some seals basking in the sun on a rock, and be immersed in the dense fog. Bring warm clothes since it can be chilly at times.

As promised I sent an email to friends of ours who live in Bodega Bay. My friend responded "Dogs are not allowed at the Head but you could Goggle California State Parks and go to Sonoma Coast State Beaches to find beaches friendly to dogs. Doran Beach allows dogs on a leash. Dillon Beach in Marin County is a good one... They can run free.
