Intaglios are very different from those in Peru and completely observable from the ground

Do not follow Goolge Maps like we did. Go on U S Highway 95 and look for the Carin on the right hand side of the road and the sign and turn away from the river. It is a Bureau of Land Management historic site and the only place in the USA that has these Intaglios. One estimate is that... More

We really enjoyed viewing these intaglios. It raised a lot of questions for me that I need to investigate further. If you're at all interested in archaeology cultural anthropology just history of the Native Americans this is a pretty neat place to visit

There are many intaglios in the area. Locals and BLM will help you. These are sacred to Native Americans, especially the Yumans. Please treat them with respect as you would anything spiritual. They are very old and a tribute to man's spiritual quest.

Go on U S Highway 95 and look for the Carin and the sign. It is a Bureau of Land Management historic site and the only place in the USA that has these Intaglios. One estimate is that they are up to 2000 years old. Shapes are people and animals plus some other swirls. They are on the ground but... More

I went to see these because I'm fascinated by this stuff. Take Intake 95, til you see the stacked rock marker, turn onto the dirt road. Honestly, if it wasn't fenced off I never would have found them. Which is been more incredible since the intaglios have been there for so long. Once I saw them, I was really just... More

The Blythe Intaglios are very easy to drive to and a very short walk. If you are at all interested in the local Indian history this is a must see. There are several signs telling about what you are seeing in the two fenced areas and a large overview sigh at the parking lot.

These geoglyphs are definitely not as universally well known as the Nazca lines, and maybe not quite as 'spectacular', i.e. huge as their Peruvian counterparts - size does count; at least for the wow-effect - but they are certainly very impressive nevertheless. Easily accessible down a short unpaved road off CA hwy 95, the glyphs have been fncd to protect... More

The two human figures and critter are easily seen. Short hikes from the parking areas. The road was fairly easy to drive. A couple places may need slow winding path. The figures are fenced in but you can get a nice view of them. The turn off is not marked by a large sign. There's a small brown sign. And... More

This is a very curious attraction. We can't know for certain what the purpose of these figures might have been, so it leaves one with a mysterious feeling. We had difficulty find the Intglios, but were glad we were able to see this amazing site.
