Summertime visits too! Mountain bike heaven.

I went with my family on opening day (11/26/16). Unlike Bear Mountain, this place was not jam packed. The run that was open was beautiful and had a mix of green and blue areas. Much better skiers and snowboarders here as well. The line for the lift was very reasonable (less than 5 minutes most of the time) and the... More

If you're used to only coming to Snow Summit for the skiing/snowboarding, well prepared to be impressed by their summer bike park. For around $40 (price varies with discounts) you can take your mountain bike to the top of the resort and careen down some of the best and most fun terrain you can think of. From easy beginner trails... More

We rode the chair lift up the mountain then did the one mile hike before riding it down again. It was beautiful and an excellent value for our money. The workers were very friendly, too!

I have been a season pass holder and regular at Snow Summit for many years. We have a family cabin in Big Bear and spend a lot of time up there. About a year ago Snow Summit sold to Mammoth Mountain and now every weekend it is so over crowded that driving from the market to the cabin 4.5 miles... More

We took the lift up just for the view. This is a small ski area. There is a typically scruffy ski lodge at the top that was serving up some surprisingly good fare...real barbecue briskets, shish-kebobs, etc. We enjoyed watching all the mountain bikers getting off the lift and taking their bikes down the runs. A must visit if you... More

The chairlift was an amazing way to see Big Bear from a different angle! I loved the experience of the ride up the mountain and it was great to be able to sit and eat, and bask in the sun, at the end of the ride.

My wife and I have visited the city of Big Bear every year for the past 10 years, and during every visit we make it a point to ride the Alpine Pedal Path. Every time we have always looked to the top of Snow Summit wondering whether we could handle one of their trails. We never tried it, although every... More

Did a couple afternoon runs on a Friday to check out the Snow Summit trials after having been to Mammoth a couple weeks earlier. A lot of fun trails to ride. Most of them were well marked. There was some wear and tear on the trails but still well maintained. Entering the burned part of the "green trail" was a... More

Got to Snow Summit with the lifts in mind of things to do, once there we found that there are fun activities for the kids. My grandkids ages 10, 9, 7, 5 and 3 had so much fun bungee jumping, rock climbing, tossing sand bags and going on the lifts to the top of the mountain. Kids pass has unlimited... More
