It is a great drive around the entire lake. Unfortunately, a road closure meant we couldn't, but we drove around as much as we could. The views were amazing, it is just a shame we were out of season and couldn't go on a boat...More

Although the lake was down due to the drought, it was still beautiful. We enjoyed all the hiking trails--several perfect for those of us not up to anything strenuous.

It is a great drive around the entire lake to see how the" natives". live. Loved the homes built on top of the rocks.

Enjoy walking along the lake and observe the swans, ducks, and the fish jump. When the winds are perfect, there are lots of sailboats on the lake, adding to it's beauty. It's peaceful there and there are areas to BBQ or simply have a picnic.

August is wonderful, cool at night, tons of stars...70's in the daytime. Might be a little breezy on the lake in the afternoon if you're on a boat, but good beach weather.
