Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.

The highlight of my time in Beverly Hills was walking this beautiful, 12+ block park along Santa Monica Blvd. It has great scenery, gardens (including an impressive cactus garden), several great churches and attractions like the Beverly Hills sign and pond. My wife and her friends wanted to shop so I decided to walk for the exercise and sights, and this was a great place. The pond and sculptures were great but for me, I truly enjoyed the cactus garden, impressive. If you want to see more than shops, walk Beverly Gardens Park.

Great for a stop to take photos! Not far from Rodeo Drive! Another touristy thing to do while you are visiting Los Angeles!

A beautiful little park on expensive Beverly Hills real estate. Lots of spots for great photo ops, especially with the unique sculptures in the background.

Beverly Hills Gardens Park is really only famous to the tourists to see the sign, there are other small street signs as you wander around Beverly hills, the gardens are impressive as you would expect.

Just to sit off and do nothing before or after your day of doing Beverly Hills. It's calm and clean and they have some interesting temporary art statues.

The first thing that gets in my mind when I think of Beverly Hills is large mansions of celebrities on the hills looking down the LA downtown. I played GTA a lot and have always been a fan of those big homes as that was the closest I could get to feel the Beverly Hills. So coming here I was already much excited. Our tour guide allowed us a good 45 minutes to spend our time around the area and take pictures.
Interestingly, the stores were mostly without any customer. I guess they rely on their loyal high-rollers from the celebrity world for their revenues.
Overall it was a nice and quick stop. We did not get to see any celebrity walking across the street!! However, there were many exotic and super cars all around the block.

Nice little public park. My daughters had fun climbing the sculptures. Nice place to decompress and run around.
Very close to Rodeo Drive, só if you can afford, you can drop your wife and enjoy the park while she shops.

Yes, I am originally from Beverly Hills, and I always visit the park when I am town. You can walk it or jog the path from Doheny Dr (the border with West Hollywood) to Whittier Blvd across from the BH Hilton. Along the park you can street park on the north south streets unless there are resident signs. There is some metered parking on Canon Dr, Beverly Dr and Rodeo Dr. Also, across Santa Monica Blvd to the South is metered City of Beverly Hills Parking structures.
