Not fancy, but fun!

Good old-school fun. My husband was skeptical, doesn't like horses and doesn't like to bet. At the end of the day he told me to come again. We went there on a Saturday afternoon... read more

The weather is almost ideal, it's a short ride from berkeley or emeryville, the races start at around noon, there hardley any crowding, drive over the top of the main parking to the South parking its a dollar, entrance a dollar, hotdogs,,8 oz. Beers/soda you guessed it...$1. You can sit right on the finish line almost every time. Getting is cheap,... More

This a great racetrack for anyone who enjoys flat racing. Quality racing at a reasonable price and even a courtesy shuttle bus for train travellers to the track. Plenty of places to sit down, have a drink and a bite to eat, and large, seated grandstands, all offering great views of the racing. This is probably one of the friendliest... More

Good old-school fun. My husband was skeptical, doesn't like horses and doesn't like to bet. At the end of the day he told me to come again. We went there on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't crowded and the staff had enough time and patience to explain us the rules. We won 3 times! Watching the races became very exciting... More

We spent a Sunday afternoon at Golden Gate Fields. It was a great way to enjoy the beautiful weather. We were fortunate it's a Sunday as many things go for a dollar, including: - The Program - Beer - Mimosa (sometimes they allow you to get sparkling wine) - Hot Dogs For those who don't just want hotdogs, there are... This is a nice diversion for individuals or groups. The excitement of horse racing. Bet a little and you might get lucky! The views from here around the Bay area spectacular!. Go on dollar days, usually on Sunday, for Hot Dogs, etc. The restaurant is actually quite good, plus you have great higher-up views of the track.

Great for a day out when they have their $1 Sunday's. Admission, hot dogs, beer. Even if you're not a horse racing enthusiast, you will enjoy it.

I have only visited Golden Gate Fields on Dollar Sundays a few years back. When I would go with friends we would always have a good time. You can get dollar hotdogs, sodas, or beers. How can you beat that?

We went with an event for a charity. The valet parking, admission and buffet lunch were included in the price of our ticket, with a modest donation additionally being given to the charity. Parking was a breeze, admission quick and available through an elevator or stairs, seating in turf room nice, tho pretty close quarters! Since last here they have... More

Parking, gorgeous views abound, oh and then there are the horses. Beautiful to watch. Slow fun day and you can come back and walk the Albany Bulb. You might win a few dollars...lilkely not. Bring a ht and warm jacket as the fog can come in. Go alone with friends. All good.
