Although the roses will not bloom until May or June, the rose beds in March are prepared and the view of the bay is wide and lovely. The Rose Garden was begun by neighbors and the WPA completed the amphitheater shaped garden during the Depression....More

This is a terrific park on the hillside with excellent views of the Bay. But come here when the roses are in bloom, June or July to see a riot of color and to learn about lots of varieties of roses,

Not many people know about this place and that makes it so attractive. Great for taking a date, or just wonder alone, enjoy the roses, the view, and the simple architecture of the terraces.

Go in the springtime to catch the garden at its most magnificent state. A real gem on a hillside with views of the Bay Area. An amazing collection of roses.

This is a totally romantic spot. The roses from May into the fall are resplendent and the views are lovely. There is a marvelous arbor and if you are interested most specimens are identified. It is lovely and Berkeley folks are fortunate that they agree...More

The Rose Garden itself is small. During the winter, the roses are cut back and not blooming - however, it is still worth visiting for the views. Cordornices Park is across the street and is a beautiful park with picnic areas, playground and hiking trails....More

Take the H shuttle at the Bart station in Berkeley. Ask if it is the one going to the gardens.
