Not many people know about this place and that makes it so attractive. Great for taking a date, or just wonder alone, enjoy the roses, the view, and the simple architecture of the terraces.

Was driving by the Berkeley Rose Garden. Had to stop for the gorgeous view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Since it is winter, there aren't many flowers in bloom. However, it is still a beautiful place to stop and enjoy the scenery and smell the...More

The Berkeley Rose Garden is a great place to take in views of the San Francisco Bay and Golden Gate Bridge. It has tennis courts, and an awesome collection of roses of many different varieties. It's free, open from sun-up to sundown, and well worth...More

Go in the springtime to catch the garden at its most magnificent state. A real gem on a hillside with views of the Bay Area. An amazing collection of roses.

This is a totally romantic spot. The roses from May into the fall are resplendent and the views are lovely. There is a marvelous arbor and if you are interested most specimens are identified. It is lovely and Berkeley folks are fortunate that they agree...More

The Rose Garden itself is small. During the winter, the roses are cut back and not blooming - however, it is still worth visiting for the views. Cordornices Park is across the street and is a beautiful park with picnic areas, playground and hiking trails....More

You enter the rose garden at the top of the hill, and can then walk down the terraces. It is well maintained with a variety of roses.

The Berkeley Rose Garden was divine. Einstein lived nearby for a year and came in the evenings to sit on these ancient benches to enjoy the sunsets and engage in conversations with all who came. Children can play in the creek and run up and...More

Take the H shuttle at the Bart station in Berkeley. Ask if it is the one going to the gardens.
