So much to do with our grandchildren. Everyone loves the scale model train that winds through the redwoods and the carousel with its old animals carefully restored. The hill hikes provide great bay views. This is our playground for biking and hiking.. and the occasional...More

We entered off Grizzly Peak Boulevard and drove to Inspiration Point, which offers spectacular views. We did not have time for the Botanical Garden, alas.

While Tilden is a very large par, I mostly visit the Botanic Garden, which attempts to keep all the plants native to California. I birdwatch there...

I hike here 4-5 days a week. Great trails, scenery, and once you get away from the Little Farm no crowds. But if you have kids a visit to Little Farm is a must. Bring lettuce or celery to feed the animals. So very grateful...More

I love Tilden Park. It's pretty close to civilization but feels miles away. There are trails and hikes for all abilities and you can even push a stroller on some of them. You do need to take water and if it's been raining, shoes that...More

I’ve been coming to the park for 60 years. I am amazed and impressed with how well it is maintained and the huge range of recreation options you have. And you have marvelous views of the Bay from so many places. Marvelous resource.

We have visited Tilden Park several times in the past year. Our toddler loves riding the trains and we enjoy the nature walks. The train rides are fun for the entire family. The train models are very well designed and lot of fun to explore....More

No camping in Tilden but Lake Chabot regional is about 30 minutes away and has some campsites

there is guard for swimming in Lake. , but I believe after 5 PM you swim at your own risk
