What a green gem in Berkeley! You can take a long or short hike. Catch an outdoor Shakespearean performance during the summer months. Have a picnic in the park. For a fun time check out this extensive urban park that makes you feel that you're miles away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby university or city..

Lots to see and do. Just sitting and looking into the distance was perfect! Too bad the steam train area isn't open during the week. The gardens are amazing!

Take a time out and hike around Tilden Park. Last week returned to Seaview trail. The winter rain has painted a beautiful landscape.

Tilden Park has so much that is is hard to know where to begin. For kids, there is the steam train, the merry-go-round, swimming at lake Anza, feeding the animals at the very nice Little Farm (celery and lettuce only), and the Nature Education Center and Museum. (Get a map here too.) And just a 1/4 mile walk up the... More

The carousel at Tilden Park is an excellent place to tak children for a lovely outing, and can easily be combined with a picnic and hike, and ride on the steam trains for a full day. There are SO many things to do at Tilden! This is a wonderful place for the entire family, including people of all ages.

The Tilden Park Golf Course is really beautiful and challenging. The paved Nimitz trail starting at inspiration point is wonderful all year long. It offers miles and miles of gently rolling and paved walking or biking. We see all types out there: families, dog walkers, runners, bikers and nature lovers. The views both East and West are fabulous. The Wildcat... More

We really enjoyed our visit however wish it had been a little warmer so we could have stayed longer. Loved the carousel but you really need a car to get from the farm to carousel with small children.
