there is a nice restaurant called SKATES on the Bay near the Berkeley pier. The cement pier that goes out to the bay has been closed and waits for repair for some years now with no work being done to it yet. Free parking along...More

We were trying to book 20 rooms for a wedding party. The process now is completely "self-serve". Basically, we go to a website and sign up for a block of rooms. Even though we are booking 20 rooms, there is no discount. So, we're doing...More

Good restaurants, lots of cool boats to look at, and great views of San Francisco. Often quite windy, but if you go on one of the local infrequent warm and still days, you'll have the time of your life just wandering around. Make a reservation...More

A great place to walk and explore the shoreline. If you get hungry, there are plenty of places to either have a picnic or dine in with a great view. The bonus is the tiny nature center that is specific to the Berkeley Marina.

The Berkeley Marina is a fun walk because you can also walk out on the pier and see what the fishermen and women have caught. There are some nice restaurants for a sit down meal along the way.

I wouldn't know an exact spot to fly kites there, but there is a mobile kite store that may have more information about this, and the Berkeley kite festival might be worth checking out. There is a lot of open space at the... More
