Sunrise at Culburra beach is always different with beautiful shades of blue to red as the sun emerges from the horizon. Great for walking your dog and very social for pet too. you may even see whales and dolphins as well.

A beautiful stretch of sandy beach to the east of Nowra. A small section is patrolled (ie: flagged) as is a small section on nearby Warrain Beach (surf club). A great spot to keep the kids entertained.

Beautiful beach walk with few to no people around. We often have the beach to ourselves or a few other people. And you can link up other walking tracks throughout the walk.

With or without swim, walking the length of the beach with our dogs (it is leash free until 8am depending on season) each morning is always one of the highlights of our stays here.

If you like beaches & rock pools with a bit of a scramble, this is great. Start on the beach & walk round the headland as the terrain changes to rockpools, interesting formations & great views

At the end of the beach is Penguin head but contrary to the name, we didn’t find any penguins here but we did enjoy a good walk around the volcanic rocks which are almost entirely flat. You do need shoes as the rock has plenty...More
