Built in the 18th Century and located in the center of Chittagong city in Bangladesh, this Hindu temple is dedicated to the Goddess Kali. According to Hindu belief, the goddess of the temple is considered the guardian deity of the town Chittagong and it is considered as one of the Shakti Peethas - where Sati Devi's body parts fell and hence came to be known as Shakti Peethas. This temple was damaged by Pakistani soldiers during the Bangladesh liberation war.

Although this temple is quite peaceful, there is nothing truly distinguishing about it. Up a long flight of stairs, the sanctuary is similar to those all over Bangladesh.

Situated in almost center of the city. Through out the year it is crowded with the believers of Hindu goddess Kali.
