We took a bus from Beirut to Tyre and spent the day wandering around the Souks, seeing the Christian quarter, and some of the ruins. Then we took a taxi to the public beach--it was amazing. Not crowded at all, plenty of tables, beach chairs, umbrellas, and a row of shacks that bring out drinks and food for you. They... More

The best beach is Lebanon! Blue and very clean water, + the sand is gold! I absolutely recommend!!!!

For us, this was just a stop to take a photo and admire the view and pristine sandy beach. It is not hard to believe that this stretch of waterfront deserves its reputation.

Most of the waterfront of Lebanon has been snatched up by the 1% elite or (expensive) private resorts. That is why the beach in Sur is so unique. The stretch of public sand is vast. There are some little pubs lined up away from the water where you can change, use the bathroom, eat or drink if you feel so... More

Tyre beach is the best and the cleanest public beach in Lebanon. There you can find lot of Cafes that serve food, drinks, .. with reasonable prices.

I never knew Lebanon still had such an amazing free beach!! A rare gem in this beautiful country. The beach is one of the cleanest in the country and the water crystal clear. i think sour beach is the cleanest one in lebanon, also you don't have to pay a lot of money just to spend a day on the beach like most other beaches in lebanon,go there and you will never regret it!
