- Hajnalka B33 contributionsBittersweet experienceThe waterfall is amazing. The water is very warm. The entry fee is 15 jod/ person. Parking free, but not many spots. There is a shop next to the car park, but the pricing is random, depending on who walks in ( in my case a pack of crips was 3 jod. The changing room area was disgusting so I decided to change outside. Towels or bath robes are not provided make sure to bring your own or pay 7.5 jod in the shop.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 January 2024

- Haytham Abu FirasQatar20,658 contributionsTemperature reach to 120 degrees CAlmost 45 kilometers far from Amman, Jordan. A day trip to Ma’in Hot Springs, with a short stop at Panoramic view of Dead Sea with Montana Travel Agency. The place is very natural, the waterfall is really very hot, the rocks are almost boiling with the inner cave where temperature reach to 120 degrees. Arrived at 9:30am, changing rooms and shower areas are not well maintained. Few chairs opposite the waterfall, leave your belongings and enjoy the hot sulphuric water. This tour is more for skin treatment than enjoyment. There are 3 waterfalls, the first is public, second for families and the third for ladies. We had a 1 hour under the waterfall with intervals. The rest of the time, we went to the nearby cafe to have some refreshments, but it’s overpriced or touristic prices.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 13 August 2024

Visiting Ma 'in was the only mistake we did when visiting Jordan. When arriving at the gate after a long drive on difficult roads on the mountains, they told us that the price is JD15 but where willing to give us a discount and charge JD12. When inside we found out the the tourism website of Jordan claim that the entrance ticket is JOD10. After complaining with the person at the gate he told us that the price of JOD 10 is for Jordanians only. They did not even give us any entrance tickets but a receipt which we had to give to the guy at the car park. Once inside we found out that the main spring was not accessible as it was part of a hotel. To add insult to injury the other smaller water fall was closed as they claimed that some rocks were falling. In our opinion this was a daylight robbery. You should be ashamed!!!!

If you’re into Natural hot springs, it’s a place that you do not want to miss. The Hot Springs at the Ma’in spa and resort as well as the public area are extraordinary. You can walk 5 minutes from the Hotel, to the public hot springs. These are a real treat and are fed directly from 2 natural huge waterfalls coming directly out of these desert mountains. The hotel’s pool is fed by a second and third natural hot spring waterfall as well as the spa located in a separate Jordanian palace down in a gully seen from the main hotel. If you’re in Jordan and have a day and night do not miss this experience. I found the hotel and public baths and pools to be clean , there was some but very little numbers of plastic bottles outside the main areas of the public pools but for the most part all the hotel areas, the spa and public area were very clean. They may have cleaned it up since the last 2 reviews were negative but what I experienced and saw was a very clean natural environment. I love these Hot Springs and when I travel and I know they are located in the area I make it a point to visit and return. The Jordanian Hot Springs were wonderful, the next tine I’m in Jordan I will definitely come again. I also would highly recommend these hot springs to anyone who enjoys a soak in a naturally beautiful hot spring.

Firstly, for 15JD day pass per person, I would expect they would at least provide me with a towel. I was told to buy my own towel from their shop.
Secondly, there were no locks on the ladies change room door, broken rust lockers, no proper shower room, no hooks to hang clothes in either change room or shower.
Thirdly, the pool was so murky. There was moss on the stones.
The only good thing is the hot springs is hot. The waterfall looks nice in the photos.
Would not recommend it at all.

The experience is really special. The waterfalls are beautiful, not so trashy. The water is hot even in February.
We went on the weekends, there were a lot of locals, there were hardly any tourists.
My mom and I are European women. We took a bath in a t-shirt and they were still staring at us, it was amazingly uncomfortable.

This resort is something. First it is located in a beautiful valley, that is primarily accessible only by a Grand Prix drivers. Second, the resort's gorgeous entrance does an excellent job making you forget that the king size bed you are sleeping on, is in fact two single mattress put together. Thirdly, and most importantly, the resort offers an impressive collection of two pools, a soothing 65C thermal pool, and a beautifully positioned 'cool" pool (30 C?) which is only a short walk from the hotel, through a forgotten forestry path, then through a parking lot, and finally a construction site. Once you reach your destination you are welcomed by carekeeper telling you the pool closes in 10 minutes. So you walk back to the mildly cool thermal pool, and dip your least favourite toe, the one you dont mind getting 1st degree burn on. Sadly the pool isn't hot enough to boil a carrot, as we have tried.

I visited mai’n hot springs with my family on September 20, I reserved the room a day before. When we went there, they told us that we didn’t do any reservations and they gave us a room with a bad view in addition to the bad service including the dinner was awful as well as the breakfast (the food there is very bad) and the rooms are not clean, they’re dirty enough to make you leave the place with a big disappointment and the bed covers are dirty.
I tried many times to call the reception but no one answered.
In addition, the kids play area is dirty and full of cigarettes thrown on the floor , pools and washrooms are disgusting.
It was the worst experience I’ve ever been through in my vacation and I’m really disappointed since i didn’t expect that at all.

Can't find words to describe how bad, frustrating, sad, horrible, disappointing situation.
1. Expensive
2.u have to wait to 9 am until u can get in.
3.the public hot springs "water fall" do not have any means for : bad entrance, no chairs, no shades, filthy, no safety at all, no life guard, no one obeying the rules of the hot springs "shisha and food not allowed" and everybody doing it.
Toilet and change rooms are in bad shape.
Water bottle 1 JD
Cup of tea 1 JD
And that's not in the hotel, u can go to a 5 star hotel in the dead sea,and it would be cheaper.
Prices are expensive, u pay for locals 10 jds and that's just as entry fee, without any kid of service what so ever.
I can go on forever, but that's what on my mind at the moment.
Don't come here. Period.

Let’s be clear that the Hot Spring and the Spa resort here are very different places. The hot springs, whilst impressive in terms of heat, are in a bad state. It feels much like a building site and whatever the “indoor” or “Roman Bath” is is definitely closed. Save your money because it is absolutely not worth the 15JD entry.
I will say as a European woman I wasn’t made to feel uncomfortable at all.

An amazing place. The hotel is a rustic 5 stars hotel with an oriental touch. The hotel manager Mr. George greats all guests as royals. He is always on top of everything even small details. Ms Lena the house keeping manager is an incredible person that notices even small details. she is friendly and makes you feel at home. The food is great. All the staff is just amazing. Thank you all for making our trip a marvelous one.

These natural hot springs are a must visit in the winter. Water temperatures were 35 degrees Celsius, and summer temps reach 65 degrees! It would be unbearable in the summer!
Costs are 15 JD per person and 10 JD for locals.
Bathrooms and changing rooms are available. A restaurant is also on site.
There are three areas to enjoy the water as it cascades down. The largest one is mixed. One for families, and an enclosed one for ladies only. Up the hill is also a small swimming pool for ladies.

Hello,
We are interested in a few hours around the public area. How do you get here? It is through the hotel also or do you need to trek there? We are a family with a young child (4 yr old). Is it suitable?
Thank you

I was wondering if you can book a spa treatment if you are not staying at the hotel? I have tried multiple times to contact them and haven't received a response which doesn't give me a lot of faith in the company! I am a beauty therapy trainer and I was hoping to go somewhere around the dead sea for an experience as well as education/professional development and learn more about the dead sea mud etc. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

We did not make reservations for Ma’in so I’m not much help.
However there is a place not too far from there that sells the mud products and is very cool to visit. It’s the Dead Sea Museum and Panoramic Complex. We also ate there and the food was “spa like”, delicious and fresh!

È possibile accedere alla piscina dell'hotel senza soggiornare?
Written 16 August 2019
Si,si può accedere al complesso termale senza soggiornare presso la struttura ricettiva. Le vasche disponibili erano solo due a marzo scorso, il resto era stato reso inaccessibile in seguito ad un alluvione.

Does the hotel offer free transport to the dead sea? If not how much does it costs? I am looking to stay here for one night.
Written 21 February 2019
You can walk all the way to the main gate, sometimes there are taxies there dropping people to the public spring next to the hotel.

Hi,
Im due to spend 5 days in Jordan next week and just trying to decide if staying in the ma'in springs hotel is worth a night or not this time of year?
Also what is the best way to get around rent a car or driver. What should driver cost for 5 days to see all the main sights?
Thanks
Written 4 February 2019
I didn’t love it!! But I didn’t visit the hotel so don’t know. If you really want a spa then you also have the choice of the Dead Sea - which you choose (they are very close) should depend on if you prefer the seaside or the countryside. I would definitely recommend a car. Taxis cost a fortune and often try to lift the price again at arrival. even if you share it’ll be cheaper to hire

Hello, I wanted to ask about the hot springs and massage facilities. How much does it cost to visit the springs, soak in and enjoy a massage? Overall I believe for about 2-3 hours, including a deep tissue massage! Thank you! Also, some guests reported it was really dirty. Was it just a one-time thing or does it regularly happen? Thanks a lot!

Sorry I am late in replying, but really wanted to add my 2 cents. Ma'an hot springs (public area) is, well, public. It is also mossy and outside-so it is a bit dirty if you are picturing an indoor type pool area. The areas around the pools have moss growing from the heated water ect...HOWEVER, the Ma'an spa/hotel is AMAZING! Just down the road from the public area. The rooms are rustic and romantic, the restaurants is great and has a variety of food options. The massages are also done by PROFESSIONAL young ladies who are trained in what they do. I can't say the cost-as it can be provided by contacting the hotel directly, but it isn't cheap. It is worth the experience however of laying near a hot springs after a relaxing massage. They have a couple size bed and individual pool side beds. Super nice. The pool area is outside-so if you are afraid of a leaf or two-you might want to go somewhere else.
