We caught the second ship from Glenridding to Howtown and did the 7 mile (11k) walk back around the Lake. A great walk if you take a picnic. We stopped at Side Farm on the way back for an ice cream. The boats are great and occasionally you get some cometary but not guaranteed.

Travelled from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding and took the return a few hours later. We received a 10% price concession because we caught the first boat to depart Pooley Bridge (9.45 am). Not sure if this is a regular thing but it was nice and even applied to our hound (90p instead of £1) but I don't think he was... More

Really enjoyed the views from the steamer today. A great way to see and appreciate the lake and its surroundings. I wish i had planned more time and parking though and got off for a bit to explore before returning.

This is a great way to spend a few hours on a beautiful lake. The team running the boat are very knowledgable and are very happy to share. Would strongly suggest one of the hampers, lovely way to hav lunch.

Thank you for your great 5 star review. That is good advice for people to come prepared as even during the height of summer it can be cool out on the lake. We hope you will come for a trip with us again soon. More

Use these ferries to get to Howtown where you can start a number of hikes to return to Pooley Bridge or Glenridding. Or simply enjoy the views from the ferry of the most beautiful lake in all the Lake District! There is a bar on board and also a W/C and inside seating for a cold day. Staff are friendly.... More

We started our boattrip at Glenridding. The weather was sunny and during the trip around the whole lake we got a great view on the impressive surroundings. Very colourfull. It took more than 2 hours, but you wan't aware. The price for the whole tour was correct.
