Great wide beach with real (not imported) sand surrounded by impressive hills and quiet location with the backdrop of two/three cosy tavernas serving great food at value prices.

A bit stoney but beds at far end away from bars and restaurants good and cheap. Sea lovely and warm. Good rocky area for snorkeling.

We loved this beach, and the Damnoni Taverna is fabulous for lunch and dinner. Better than the nearby beach at Plakias, there is good parking near the entrance to the beach, either in the small car parks, or in the road alongside the beach or...More

Great beach. Not so windy as the one in Plakias. Go to its southern corner, if you want to see breathtaking sea life in the rocky area, snorkeling is fantastic.

No exactly (it is one inside the hotel which is there, Hapimag). But the nearest are in Plakias (and also in Lefcogia village in the way to Rethimno). Both are about five minutes with car.
