It was very windy at Plakias so followed a tip on trip advisor to visit Damnoni just along the coast. It was brilliant a calm sea and a fantastic venue to snorkel. To the right of the beach there is a reef where the fish...More

Damnoni is very popular so be sure there early to grab a parking space! There are lots of sun beds (payable) and a row of tavernas along the beach. Fabulous place to relax.

Damnoni beach was a nice place and also good for snorkling. Cheap beds and sun umbrellas; 6 € per set. Very cost beach in the south of Crete. And a nice place to have lunch.

This half kilometre stretch of beach is clean and nice to visit. The water is calm (most the time, despite the wind!) and there are some nice taverners just beside the beach if you get hungry! Between them they do breakfast lunch and dinner. There...More

No exactly (it is one inside the hotel which is there, Hapimag). But the nearest are in Plakias (and also in Lefcogia village in the way to Rethimno). Both are about five minutes with car.
