Worth the stop on the way to Preveli Beach

The Kourtaliotiko Gorge is stunning, and while there are others that are long and a bit more scenic, this one has the advantage of being on the way to Preveli Beach (which I love). Hop out of the car for a sec to see exactly what a wind tunnel feels like. The entire drive off the main road to the... More

It is well worth driving through Kourtaliotiko Gorge to view the amazing rugged landscape. It can be very windy so take care when getting out of the car.

Wow amazing gorge. Tends to be very windy but breathtaking scenery. we saw some vultures flying over head. If you go the old road to Plakias you cannot miss driving through this gorge, if you drive to plakias on the new road you will miss this wonderful gorge.

Not as spectacular as Samarian Gorge but still worth visiting. Lots of lovely villages along the road.

This is a cool place for a stop. The view is amazing between all the mountains. If its on your way its an easy stop, but i would not make a detour to see it.

One of the best gorges of the island! It is lush and has a small river! It is like a fairytale! Must see if you like nature and intense feelings!

Really breathtaking views, especially if you drive through the gorge at night! Make sure that you will take some nice photos, but also be aware and careful as it is very possible some stones to fall on the road !!!

We drove through the cage in the (probably) hottest period of the year, which had 2 consequences: no sight of the water(falls) and no wish to go for a walk. But even then the view is worth a (small) detour.
