So worth the cost - - it doesn't matter...treat yourself. We were awed and speechless. The best way to view the alps is on top of a mountain. We long to return.

We enjoyed the Rosshütte last year and a return visit was on our list of things to do this year. My walking was limited last year due to a knee injury so I was determined to summit the Spitze this year. We again opted for...More

Take the funicular from Seefeld to Rosshute and then a cable car to Seefelder Joch. Follow the red signs as far as Harmelekopf bahn station and take a cable car back to Rosshute. It is medium difficulty but looks more difficult than it is. The...More

A great place for a day trip but a bit expensive. Self service restaurant was good too with a wide range of meals that were being made on site. There were good facilities for young children and teenagers as well. From here you can see...More

The views from the restaurant at the top of the railway are breathtaking, and the restaurant is quite reasonably priced. There are free deck chairs if you want an intense suntan, but beware because the sun is fierce up there. But beware, the fare is...More

We wanted to take advantage of the views and it was worth it although at 16 Euro return quite expensive. If you are into cable cars then the add on cost for the two make it worthwhile. I just cannot do the cable cars.

As long as your Hotel is in Seefeld, you are only looking at a 15 minute max walk to the start of the funicular train. We were lucky as it was 2 minutes around the corner.

I'm not sure. I believe they would be open all year round as it caters for walkers too as well as skiers.
