The only "Truth" you will find here is only a word written on the front wall.
The dear Swamiji knows how to make business out of the word yoga.
You pay 35000 for one week and most of the time you are fasting or left with rice and dhal.
The teachings are very basic and the teacher is very judgmental about people, especially women.
The teacher is a real hypocrite, because he uses sweet words to enchant you and manipulate.
There is a sort of discrimination and the belief that all the westerns are monkeys to teach to, but cow to milk.
They will give you a poor room with bed you cannot sleep on.
Once you realize that it is all fake you will leave immediately!
I will not suggest to stay there at all, especially if you are a woman.

Swamiji is an amazing yoga sharer full of positive energy and light. I am beyond grateful and thankful for this experience. I spent 2.5 months assisting in the April raja yoga course and taking the tantra course in May. Life changing doesn't even say enough. When I was asked to come and help assist ahead of my tantra course I am glad I didn't hesitate. The universe knew I needed a spiritual guide/teacher and that I was ready for that step. I am so glad that I was lead to Swamiji. I was at the Himalayan location for both courses, and it is so beautiful and perfect for an authentic yoga experience. His family was wonderful and there to help take care of, I cannot say enough. If you are looking for an authentic spiritual yoga course this is the place for you. You come as body and leave as soul!! Swamiji leads you to the path of self-realization, so when you leave you are on the most important journey, to know who you really are (soul). He shares with you not only the practices but how to live and lead a spiritual lifestyle. I recommend these courses to any spiritual aspirant who is ready to start their spiritual journey or take the next step.

Dear Bhakti,
Thank you for your encouraging words. You were an excellent participant and an inspiration for others during both the courses- Raja yoga 200 hours and Tantra yoga 300/500 hours.
Please keep it up and keep in touch.

I found a wonderful ashram where I could learn yoga and meditation in the sacred city of Pushkar, where the supreme god Brahma is enshrined. At Pushkar Mention Temple Yoga School, you can learn the essence of yoga and meditation based on Raja Yoga. I participated in the 21-day teacher course and learned about the greatness of yoga and meditation, the basic ideas of the soul, and how to connect with the greater being, as well as how to eliminate the suffering in life. As a Japanese person, I sometimes had difficulty understanding English, but thanks to the warm support of Swamiji and the staff around me, I was able to deepen my understanding and graduate. I am grateful to have been able to stand at the beginning of this path, and I am truly grateful to Swamiji.

I would give 0 if I could. Very unhappy with how this “business” is handling the COVID situation. Their policy says “no refund unless class is cancelled by the temple.” I signed up to go in May. The May class was cancelled by the temple due to COVID, yet they refuse to refund me. Now they are breaking their own clause and scamming all of us who signed up for classes we will not be taking and could not even if we wanted to. Pretty shady business if you ask me. They emailed me saying “we want to handle this with peace and love.” The way they are handling this seems completely immoral to me.

I took part in 3 of the morning Yoga and Meditation sessions from 8:00-10:00am, for 1000Rs in total this is a really great price.
I enjoyed it very much and felt very welcome despite the fact that most of the participants were doing a full stay there.
I learned a lot and the space is very cool and comfortable.
The yoga section is not like you're typical western yoga section so don't go thinking you'll get a workout from it. It's a workout for your mind and breath,

I came to Pushkar to learn more about the yoga and it's theory. I came at the right place as Swamiji loves to share his knowlegde about the ancient Raja Yoga. He tells it as it's been taught to him. You'll learn it how it's been done for centuries. That is what I really like about this course. It has no interference from the western society, it is as it was for hundreds of years and that is what we need to practice. It's not been made attractive for us westeners. The goal of practicing yoga is to reach Samadhi (bliss, life without suffering). The whole course will prepare you to go practice this in your house and to also go share it with others. I learned to give a class from scratch, from how we sit, how we breath correctly and where you put your awareness. Every step, meditation, asanas & pranayanas, down the way is carefully explained and practiced multiple time every day for 21 days. The theory is a lot but half way down the course your book is filled and you can start to give it a place in your mind so it all starts making sense and you see it coming back in the lessons and in your personality. I am very happy that I took this classical course and lived with Swamiji for 3 weeks. I can really recommend this course if you want to go deep into the real ancient form of Raja Yoga.

I visited Pushkar Meditation Temple in November this year and I did a RTY200 Yoga Teacher training. I chose this place because only 6 students were able join at the same time. In my opinion this was the best place to study yoga.
Swamiji and his wife made me feel very welcomed and made me feel like a part of their family.
In these 21 days I have challenged my self, I took a deeper look inside of my mind and tried to understand who I really am.
I am honored that I got to meet Swamiji and I am also very grateful that he shared his knowledge with me and along the way he taught me about what is Yogas philosophy and the true meaning of Yoga. He also answered all my questions I was searching for. It was really great journey for me!
I highly recommend this place if you’re really interested in Yoga and self exploring.

My wife and I took the 200 hour yoga teacher training course to deepen our own practice and learn more about ourselves.
Swamiji is extremely knowledgable on the history of yoga and focuses the emphasis of his course on your personal spiritual path, which is the true intention of the ancient teachings.
The style of asana practice is much more meditation based, with the emphasis of aligning the awareness and the breath in order to calm the mind by using mostly gentle postures one at a time, feeling the effect in between. We had some excellent meditations here with this style.
The theory taught here is that yoga is a spiritual practice and is true to the ashtanga (eight limb) tradition from Patanjali. The asana limb that is taught isn’t what most western practitioners would expect (there’s not any teaching of the Sri K. Pattabhi Jois series here.) Swamiji tries to make this clear by also defining his teaching as Raja (Royal) Yoga. Swamiji can be quite strict at times but that’s understandable as I feel he really wants his students to learn the true meaning of yoga which has mostly been lost in the West.
The course is intense! You’ll definitely gain a lot from the experience. At the time of writing there’s only 6 students allowed at a time so you definitely get plenty of value in that sense, although things can get a bit heated at times.
The living arrangements are ok for the price. The showers are cold with an option for warm water running from the foot tap to fill buckets. The beds are very firm with only a single pillow so we just bought a second one from the town. The place is clean and very clutter free with a simple little kitchen and dining space.
Get used to sitting on the floor! Your body will adapt eventually so don’t let that put you off but you may need to use cushions or small stools provided. You’ll spend hours meditating, eating, learning and chanting all in the floor so it can be a challenge at times but nothing a good stretch can’t fix!
The food is all satvik, very healthy and delicious. It’s mostly vegan but completely vegetarian. You’ll eat a lot of dahl! Now one of our favourite Indian dishes. It’s all homemade by a neighbour so it’s all clean and fresh, and there’s not too much salt or oil like you get in some restaurants.
Pushkar itself is a very special place. Probably the most holy I’ve ever been too! Swamiji takes you on a daily morning meditation walk every day bar Sunday at 6:30am to visit the many temples. We had a lovely walk together up one of the surrounding hills for sunrise too. The amount of litter in the town streets can be quite disappointing, the local government are really letting their people down on this, but there’s lots of nice shops and restaurants around and the people are all very friendly.
One of our more unexpected positives from the course was the focus on chanting. This can be quite arduous at the end of a long day and takes a long while to learn the rhythms and the words, but this is honestly something you can’t really find very easily anywhere else and it’s probably what’s stuck with us most since returning home along with the strong message on the true meaning of yoga and a more meditation based style of asana practice.
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable experience. Swamiji is inspirational in his example, and wish him the very best with his journey.

What style of yoga and meditation is taught in the daily 2 hour sessions?
Written 1 November 2017
We practice and share Raja Yoga which is also called Patanjal Yoga or Ashtanga Yoga (original). Though Raja Yoga with equal emphasis on the last three limbs of Ashtanga (Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi is a spiritual discipline in itself we also share Soham meditation technique. Asana and Mudra are from Hatha Yoga which is a preparatory discipline for Raja Yoga.
