Baz Bahadur Palace is located short of Roopmati Pavilion and entry ticket is Rs25 both for it and Roopmati Pavilion. The palace is bang on the bank of Rewa Kund. The palace is not that great. You can have view of Roopmati Pavilion from the roof of this Palace. If you plan to visit Roopmati Pavilion you can stop here for 20 odd minutes. Best time to visit is during Nov to Feb.

You seen the basic ruined & Fort structure and water reservoir etc, situated just below the Rupmati's Palace Pavilion.
If you hired the proper guide then you understand the properly this Fort.
According to the Persian inscriptions on the arch, the" Baz Bahadur's Palace" was constructed in 1508,the architecture of this palace reflects an interesting amalgamation of Mughal and Rajput architecture style.
Ticket:- Applicable ( compound ticket for many monuments)
Must Have :- Proper Shoes , water bottle
A little hike up from Baz Bahadur Palace will take you to Rani Rupmati’s pavilion and Rewa Kund. Standing on the edge of the hill, the place has long corridors and Rewa Kund (water reservoir).

Baz Bahadur's place stands next to the Rewa Kund and on the way to Rani Roopmati pavilion.
It was constructed in 16th Century. It's said that this is where the lovers Baz Bahadur and Rani Roopmati used to sing.
It's a beautiful historical spot.

We hired a Guide at the cost of Rf. 450.00 for 3 hours to take us around all placed of historical importance in Mandu. He took us to this place after Rupamati Pavalion.
This has some historical & architectural importance but most tourists may not appreciate this or get attracted. The natural sound system of the building and echo looks impressive.
The central hall connects the rest of the structure on either side, if one sings a song or plays music, it can be heard at other domes / other locations without any distortion. This shows the technological advancement in those days in building constructions.
It has many sections for Baz Bahadur's team to sit according to their position & cadre. This monument has excellent acoustic system, so that sound could be heard clearly in every section. Even if you speak slowly, it can be heard clearly at almost all parts of the structure.
Summer is not a good time to visit such a historical place. Rainy season will give a much better scenic views all around the area.
The place was neat and clean. Sunset view may be great.
Visited for about less than half an hour.

Very close to the Jahaz Mahal is Baz Bahadur Palace. He is known for his romantic liaison with Rani Roopmati. This place is really worth a visit for those visiting Mandu

This is not known for the grandeur and style but the stories behind the love between Baz bahadur and Rani Roopmati. The view from here to the Rani Roopmati Mahal is really spactcular, and makes you shiver thinking of the stories of the years gone by.

This palace is very near to Rupmati Palace. Worth visiting. Particularly it has two opposite direction rooms where if you sing a song then the sound reaches other room without mike or speaker. engineering marvel to that extent.

Total disappointment. Guides tell you stories of music and Roopamati and Baz Bahadur, but when you enter this monument you see nothing but an ancient structure with the usual bathing place and many compartmentalised spaces that one cannot understand . There is no acoustics that one can experience without guidance, and there is no one to guide. Nor are there any directions or name boards to go by. May have had history but a waste of time unless you have somebody who can explain.

This Palace is built just above the Reva Kund ( Pond ) and overlooks the stunning land-scape of Mandu on one side and Rani Rupamati Pavilion on the other. It is an engineering marvel that water from Reva Kund was pumped-up, through suction method, into the Palace in a large courtyard pond. It was here that Baj Bahadur recited his poetry at one end and Rani Rupamati literally danced to his tunes, in a beautiful marble dome, at the other ! Simply mesmerizing thoughts and visuals !!
