It is popular nature tourist spot. Perfect place for spending leisure time with family. You can do boating, nature photography. Just seat and relax within nature.

It's a very nice place to visit with family and friends, specifically when the gates are open, although you'll have to walk a little around the dam to see the gates. Plenty of open space to have a relaxed stroll. Trekkers would love this place....More

A nice day's trip from Bhopal, will bring you to here. The dam is one of the oldest dams and there are some government arrangements to stay near it. If you go in the afternoon, you can catch the sunset on the river.

The Kolar is a right bank tributary of the Narmada River. It flows for a total length of 101 km, ... Near Lakhweri in Sehore, the Kolar Dam, a masonry dam has been built across the river and it provides water to Bhopal city.

Kolar dam and its vicinity has some of the most beautiful scenic beauty which is sure to attract nature lovers and photographers.Don't expect much eateries around and do your own arrangements for food etc.

Although this is the oldest dam of Bhopal (i guess) and an important dam as well, there is nothing unique about it (not much panoramic beauty around it). Anyway, watching it while the gates are open is always a pleasure.

The Kolar dam is another scenic location to enjoy nature's beauty, near Bhopal city. A little away from the city unlike a few other dams, this place makes for a good day's picnic. While there's a small restaurant where food items were available, we preferred...More
