Bhopal to Sanchi is a one hour ride in a car. Depending on how many are travelling will be the cost per head - Bhimbetka is also not very far and you can also stop over at Ratapani - which is a wildlife reserve - all within an hour of each other. For food though - Bhopal is the best option as you get a lot of variety.
