It us a temple which is in best condition. Ramayana portrayed all along the walls in intricate carvings. The vicinity is also very beautiful. Also visit the backside. And don't forget to take a round trip around it.

Hazara rama temple is a temple of Lord Ram in the royal courtyard in Hampi. There is no idol in the temple and worship is not conducted now. The temple is very beautiful, the walls of the temple have carvings depicting the entire story of ramayan. Very very beautiful temple, must visit.

Hazara Rama offers some of the most detailed temple carvings, so intricate that at times I thought it is a present-day temple! Definitely a must visit.

This is a must visit place as well, in Hampi. As the name suggests, it is dedicated to Lord Ram and hence, it has many carving depicting stories from Ramayana. The carvings are really beautiful. If you go in the evening, the temple just glows in the evening golden light

This temple has the Ramayana carved all over its walls. The scenes are well carved and easily recognizable. Well worth walking around!

Part of the Royal Enclosure, the Hazara Rama Temple (literally, the ‘thousand Ramas’ temple) is so called because it is fondly assumed to contain a thousand carved images of the Hindu deity Rama. Not so, a hundred or so would be more accurate a figure. These appear mainly in the form of the temple’s main attraction, the story of the Hindu epic, the Ramayana, which is carved on various walls of the temple and can be read in three rounds (parikramas). The births of Rama and his brothers; his winning of his wife Sita; Sita’s abduction by Ravana; Rama meeting Hanuman—all of it is here, and more.
That isn’t all, because the tall four stone pillars in front of the temple are beautifully carved and worth a look, and the rest of the carving on the temple walls (which consists of various deities and mythical beings) is impressive as well. The highly polished, very intricately worked black stone pillars inside the Hazara Rama Temple—where the inner sanctum would have been—are not originally from Hampi.
Despite its relatively small size, this temple is a knock-out. Every surface of the walls, porch, roofs and base is covered in exceptional carvings. Even the boundary wall is swimming with beautiful bas-reliefs.
There is no deity inside the temple and so can be explored with shoes on.
Apparently, Hazara means courtyard in Kannada.
