The visit is simple but gorgeous with the visit of the penguins...you can get very close to them....

Excellent museum , so much information and the volunteers are very helpful...fee is donation only. The penguins are a highlight.

We headed this way to visit boulder beach penguins and we were most impressed with simons town when we stopped off for coffee. What a lovely little spot. The museum was really interesting with an extremely friendly English guide, we enjoyed learning about Just nuisance...More

What a lovely museum. Small but extremely interesting. Covers all aspects of life in Simon's Town in years gone by. A very small donation is asked for by way of admission and it's worth every Rand. Nice helpful volunteers on the door. Lovely section on...More

Kids & even adults will love it...seeing penguins in their natural habitat & learning about their lifestyle. Otherwise nothing much do in this town...so you can do it as a day trip from CapeTown...

I envisaged penguins in their natural habitat something as I had seen on discovery channel. Seeing them in Simons Town in the breeding area, the natural environment was so eye opening! Loved watching them interact with each other, it was almost beautiful to see Too...More

I have visited Simon's Town for many years - and never realised that they had a museum (suggest better signage - maybe a billboard approaching town - encouraging visits to the various museums), and really enjoyed the visit - great to see that volunteers care...More

This review is only about a statue. It commemorates the Great Dane that welcomed troops during the second world war. He had an official rank of Able Seaman and was given a full military funeral when he died. The beautiful statue is in Jubilee Square...More
