We headed this way to visit boulder beach penguins and we were most impressed with simons town when we stopped off for coffee. What a lovely little spot.

I envisaged penguins in their natural habitat something as I had seen on discovery channel.
Seeing them in Simons Town in the breeding area, the natural environment was so eye opening!
Loved watching them interact with each other, it was almost beautiful to see
I have visited Simon's Town for many years - and never realised that they had a museum (suggest better signage - maybe a billboard approaching town - encouraging visits to the various museums), and really enjoyed the visit - great to see that volunteers care...More

It commemorates the Great Dane that welcomed troops during the second world war.
He had an official rank of Able Seaman and was given a full military funeral when he died.
