Please contact Waleed for a tour in Wadi Rum and Petra
Call or whatsapp Waleed at 00962799952938 Waleed truly went above and beyond in arranging our tour of Jordan. He picked us up from Amman and took us to Jerash, stopping to get us fresh fruit and treats along the way. Then we went to Wadi Rum, where he arranged our stay at a Beduin Camp. We were very well taken care of and felt safe with Waleed. His car was very clean and he had extra water and blankets for us. We highly recommend Waleed. Please take dog and cat food if you are going to Petera, there are strays that need feeding and watering.

Amazing Jordan tour with our friendly driver, Bashar (contact +962787766438)
We strongly recommend our driver, Bashar, for your tour through Jordan. He is an amazing person, really good driver, he speaks fluent English and was more than happy to tell us everything we wanted to know about places we visited. Everything went perfect, it was pretty smooth and easy to arrange pick ups and drop offs. If you want to have an amazing time in Jordan without worries about transportation and if you'll make it all on time, book your drive with Bashar, you won't regret it!

Majestic site several hours from Eilat
We only went up to the amphitheatre on a 1 day tour so this is a bit of a half-review. The Treasury is a magnificent highlight but one can't help feeling sad about the lost majesty in the whole site. Silly to say I know but wish I could go back in time and view what technicolour splendour would have been visible. But walking around with one's imagination, you can conjure up images in your head of past glories and also enjoy the ride through the desert getting there.

The Best Driver in Jordan Waleed Hassan
🇬🇧We are two Italian girls who visited Jordan for the first time in February and we were looking for a driver to drive us all over Jordan to enjoy the full experience of the country. We found Waleed service on internet thanks to other previous customers that really recommended him as the best driver in Amman/Jordan. We wanted to make sure he was a real driver, so we made a research and found a lot of good reviews on trip advisor, you can all read on this page, which told how important is driver to that kind of travel. Many drivers works just for money, but we made our best decision choosing him, he spent his own money to make us happy, comfortable and never hungry. He was very friendly since the beginning and always a reference for us, for every experience we wanted to enjoy. For two girls who travel alone in a far country is very important to find a good person to spend a week with in total security, and with Waleed we felt home, he felt like a second father for us. He always made us feel safe and comfortable. We were so happy to find him, he his a good driver and advisor and also a guide for us. He told us many things about the country, the people, the food and everything else. If you need to know where to stay and sleep he has many good advices for you! Most important, during the vacation, he always offered us water, food, drinks and snacks, any time we wanted. He let us enjoy the real experience of Jordan. We could have used his own internet connection all over the places and the time. We could have listen the music we prefer for all the vacation long. We are happy to find a second father here in Jordan, and wish you all enjoy your stay here with him, you won’t regret it, we promise! You can contact him on WhatsApp, he replies very fast! Just Stunning
As a part of our package we started classic Petra tour at 08:00. After obtaining a ticket you can chose whether to walk all the way till Treasury via Siq or take mini golf for jod 25 which will drop you at the same point. There are no words to describe beauty of this place. Along the Siq there are intricate inscriptions and carvings, some of which have been worn almost smooth over the centuries. Treasury area is packed with tourists, people trying to sell things , sleepy and hungry dogs and cats. From Treasury the classic tour takes you through the street of Facades with view of giant Royal Tombs, the Roman amphitheatre and the Great Temple. The tour ends by midday when you can stop for a lunch/refreshment or continue to explore on your own the rest of the area. There are several trails that you can chose from but it is very difficult to complete them all in a day.

    Bucket List Must!
Had the opportunity to visit one of my bucket list priorities and was greatly impressed. There are no words to describe the place. I would recommend a professional guide that can give you a lot of information on everything that Petra represented.

    Petra Less Busy after 4pm
We came to Jordan to visit Petra to mainly see the Treasury from Indiana Jones, we drove here from Amman after hiring a car ( driving is at your own risk, crazy driving in Jordan). We stayed at the Petra Guest House right next to the entrance gate, so good position. We booked for a two day entry as we didn’t know if we’d have enough time to see it all in one day? We had booked our tickets through Petra Online and had to visit the visitors centre as we hadn’t received a confirmation email, but they helped us there and went straight to the entry gate as advised by the Helpdesk, the man then at the kiosk told us we needed to get a ticket after showing him the QR code, ( everything in Jordan seems to be awkward in some way or another) anyway after explaining we were told just now to come here he magically found a scanner and let us through! We started our walk down towards the sights, we were offered along the way horses to take you through, but kept saying no which they took well. It took around 20 mins roughly to get to the Treasury, were there were traders and camels rides available, we carried on our walk were along the way plenty of refreshments and shopping is available. We had arrived at the Basin restaurant at the bottom of The Monastery, where there are roughly 850 steps to the top, this filled me with dread as I’m not very fit, but we started our trip up, thankfully we had entered the site just before 4pm so most of the visitors were leaving, so our journey up was mainly on our own apart from the horses and donkeys somehow navigating the uneven steps. I did have to take a few rest breaks to catch my breath, do make you take water with you, as it took us a good 45 mins to the top and that’s with stopping here and there. It was worth it as when we got to the top it was near enough empty, so great photos. This was now just after 6pm when started out journey down, again horses passing us at scary fast pass, and the closing souvenir stall all offering any item for 1JD, so you could pick up some bargains along the way. We got to bottom nice and easily with no in our way, I wouldn’t opt to do this in peak time, as navigating your way down on sometimes uneven footings, going from steps to sloping rocks. At the bottom we started our journey back, and agin pretty much deserted by visitors now and sunset had begun, we made our way towards the Treasury, which was empty. We had visited on a Wednesday which was one of the night entry evenings, so we’re lucky to experience them putting all the lights for the path on our exit, so again we got some lovely photos going through the windy rock formations. Overall we made the journey in 3 1/2 hours, so by the time left it was dark but so worth going in later in the day to avoid the rush and people getting in your way if your don’t like crowds.

    An absolute must see!
The three hour drive from Amman to see Petra seems to go quite fast and is totally worth it. Walking through the canyon (Al-Siq) takes around 15 minutes and then the fabulous Treasury building comes into view. Unfortunately the canyon floor was cemented over in 2003 but this makes it easily accessible for the disabled. Going beyond the Treasury Building you are also immersed in other historical sites. For a day trip allow at least four hours to complete the main tour route and I highly recommend getting a guide while you are there. We'll worth it. Entry to the site costs 50 JOD for foreigners but be aware none of this supports the local Bedouin people you will meet there. Strike up a conversation they are very friendly.

Amazing rock formation of the trail leading to the amazing Petra
Petra is a must see in Jordon. The walk from the entrance to the facade is equally amazing. Petra is probably brought to the world attention by the movie Indiana Jones. However, it really deserve it with its beautiful rock formation and carving along the trail. There are donkey and horse rides, as well as golf cart rides. We didn't use any but walk the beautiful path to see the main carving.

    customized trip to Petra
I could stay in Jordan only for one night, but I really really wanted to visit Petra. I asked my hotel for the help, and found a good driver. He could pick me up very early morning that I can come back in my flight time. Driver Waleed speaks English very well, was nice and funny guy, offered me wifi, drinks, and cookies. He also gives me his mobile phone during my stay at Petra in case I need help at there. I felt safe thanks to his offer. The trip was long but I feel very comfortable. I recommend him, anybody intesested this is his number: Have a nice trip at Jordan. Waleed Hassan 00962 799952938

Petra is an incredible place there is no denying that. It is however tainted with upsetting scenes of animal abuse which is what I think of after visiting.

A donkey was tightly tied and alone at a view point by The Monastery… I gave it a general stroke and noticed the flies buzzing around its tight chained head collar leaving an open wound.

As I was walking away a young boy, around 7, walked up to the relaxed donkey and whipped it around the head for no reason!!!

Completely shocked by this action I couldn’t help but should ‘don’t do that’ to which his response was to whip the poor donkey over and over.

I again tried to get him to stop but this just seemed to be fuel to continue the abuse. I didn’t know what to do but to walk away in hope that the poor animal got some relief because I wasn’t watching.

I can understand the that the donkeys and ponies are needed to help with daily life… but I find it extremely sad, frustrating and upsetting to think that they are repaid with abuse, open wounds and a lack of care or compassion that should be the bare minimum for what they put up with daily.

Very sad indeed.

Arriving at Petra, you will have a long walk through the Siq. This is the main entrance to the ancient Nabatean city of Petra in southern Jordan. It is a dim, narrow gorge that winds its way approximately 3⁄4 miles and ends at Petra's most elaborate ruin, Al Khazneh (the Treasury). It took a fair amount of time to walk through the Siq and up to the Treasury. It was definitely beautiful. I just feel like the experience was marred by some of the locals. Having to constantly say "no thank you" to everybody trying to sell you stuff or see if you want to ride a horse or a camel or a donkey...it just gets exhausting. It was honestly the smell that hit me first before we even got to the Treasury. There are so many camels there, it smells like a toilet.

Haroon was a fantastic tour guide. We spent a great week with him getting to know Jordan. He was always very friendly, reliable and helpful, and was really good with our toddler. His van is spacious and Haroon drove well so that we always felt safe. He also knew some great spots to have some fantastic Local food. Thanks Harroon for everything!

We visited Jordan in November 2023. Our driver and, I can say, guide and friend from the first day was Haroon. He met us with a smile even though it was 3:00 a.m. at the airport in Aqaba and took us to the accommodation. In the morning he took us to local places for food, drink, shopping and entertainment. After that we visited Wadi Rum, Petra, Dead Sea, Madaba, Amman, Jerash etc. Haroon seemed to be the seventh member of our team, always in a good mood, smiling and ready to help with planning time, what to do, where to eat and shop, and with all that, he is very unobtrusive. He is funny and speaks good English. All recommendations! As for Jordan, everything is in the best order, we felt very safe, the people are wonderful.
I hope that the war in the neighboring countries will end soon and that peace will be established so that life will return to normal in the entire region. ✌️🍉

Went to the trip with Uncle Waleed Hassan to the dead sea the trip was smooth and we had plenty of options. Uncle Waleed is very friendly we had wi-fi, drinks and we could ask him to stop whenever we needed. We were offered to do whatever we felt like doing. The trip was amazing and also uncle Waleed was very helpful he went and bought stuff for us on the local price so we don’t get scammed. Uncle Waleed Hassan is like family and I would recommend him for any trip in Amman
