This would rate as the highlight of my travels. The way the Treasury comes into view at the end of the Sic is breath taking. When you actually see it up close you marvel at how this facade could have been carved into the Rock so many decades ago and how the got the symmetry so perfect. It is definitely... More

The moon was full and it gave a white ghostly shadow on the walk to the Treasury. In fact lit by torches on the ground the moonlight looked like snow. Having visited the Treasury during the day and in intense light seeing it in the dark gave a new perspective to the magic awe and wonder of Petra. When we... More

The colourful rocks leading the pathway is more enchanting and people chatting all the way with excitement peps the anxiety. On reaching the final spot, it is spellbound and speech less.

This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen in my life! Please don't ride the animals to get here unless you are truly unable to get there on your own power. In my non-veterinary opinion, they are not well cared for and abused. I saw a boy repeatedly hit one of his donkeys on the head with a... More

I can't describe how amazing the first sight of the Treasury is. When you walk down the Siq. I'd recommend walking down as the colours of the stone is spectacular. Site opens at 6am. Get there as early as you can. It gets crowded.

Great to see ! Petra by night is very charming. I did not like the way they treat the horses with horse carriage.

The surprise, as you first view the treasury through the gorge is breathtaking. We were overwhelmed the magnificence of the whole experience

Such a beautiful place hidden in the mountain. Small hint: you should go either super early in the morning or late in the afternoon before it closes to get the chance to admire it without the thousands of visitors around.
