Beautiful but the people trying to sell donkey or carriage rides can be a little annoying. Don't stop here though, carry on to the rest of the city.

The treasury by day and by night are exquisite. Even if you only Go to petra and get that far it's worth it. It's beautiful and the walk is just as amazing.

We entered Petra at 6AM in the morning and could enjoy the treasury as we had it completely to ourselves. No other tourists, no bedouins and no camels. Later in the morning this place is crowded with people.

A bustling area of activity with hawkers, donkey and camel riders for hire by day. An area of peace and tranquility at night. Stunning any time

We visited in Jan 2016 and honestly there's nothing like this sight in the world, it truly takes your breath away and is something I'll remember forever. Slightly spoilt at times by the huge number of camels and locals trying to get you to ride...More

If you find yourself in Petra, standing in front of this beautifully preserved structure is inevitable. The mile long Siq, a meandering gorge path, magnificently opens up to the Treasury. It is the first structure you'll see in your exploration of Petra and it's also...More

This is a must-visit of course. We found a local guy who took us on a different route and we were able to see the treasury from above. The view was amazing.

You can arrange camel rides locally. However I would strongly recommend against it. The sites worth seeing can only be reached by climbing stairs, which the camels can't do, so you'll be seeing the same area you would see by... More

As I have not heard of the Indiana Jones Trail Ride, I am sorry I cannot answer that question either. If it is just round the site then probably not strong skills as it is an easy site but further afield, not sure level.
