We arrived at Little Petra before going to Petra and it was amazing. It is a mini version of Petra so even though both are incredible, you can skip Little Petra if you are short on time.

It was a very nice place to visit. If your in Petra you should certainly visit little Petra. It has nice sites to see and is a much smaller version of the larger Petra but it is very beautiful and quite a nice place. Probably around a 10 min drive maybe less from Petra. I took a taxi and it... More

A 10 minute ride from Petra this small site (free entrance, guides and souvenirsellers present ofcourse) is very nice. Make the climb through the siq to the viewpoint at the other end to enjoy the views. Even after a full day in Petra definitely worth seeing!

Site located north of Petra and the town of Wadi Musa in the Ma'an Governorate of Jordan. Like Petra, it is a Nabataean site, with buildings carved into the walls of the sandstone canyons. A short ride north of Petra you will find Little Petra. Small, different stone but equally beautiful. Climb up into some of the higher tombs and search for the amazing frescoes at the back. Also visit the neolithic ruins a short walk to the left of the entrance to Little Petra.

We weren't sure we were going to have time to visit Little Petra, but we're glad we found the time! The site is a lot smaller and more manageable. The buildings are pretty well preserved and if you go to the end, there's a (slightly scary and steep) path that goes to an overlook. I got about halfway up, watched... More

Smaller than Petra but free. There are less tourist and it's beautiful. Do not hesitate to climb the staircases at the very end. You'll discover a wonderful view and you can have a tee.
