Such a bad experience. It's just normal petra with tea light candles on the path plus every tourist in petra walking at the same time. The entertainment was incredibly boring and we and about 50 other people walked out. HUGE waste of money. Instead just...More

We did this night tour on our first evening in Petra , a nice way to see the treasury before the actual daylight trip the next day. Others have described it well so I won't go into too much detail, but if you come in...More

It was just a bunch of candles, you can see more in the day, not worth the money. The people running it were also a bit rude.

In my opinion, well worth it. The long walk in the dark through the Siq then into the candle lit area of the Treasury was a sensory experience to remember. This was our first sight of Petra which evoked the essence of the ancient Nabataeans...More

Pricey and disappointing - shame as it is a great opportunity to showcase one of the 7 wonders of the world. Nice tea though!

A beautiful way to see Petra. Be warned that it does get very touristy and busy. Instead of walking from the main enterance We stayed in the treasury area from Petra while they were setting up the candles which meant we got to enjoy the...More

Simply MAGICAL. Long, dark walk....then lovely to star gaze and sit in the shadow of the grand tomb while listening to the haunting melody of the rebab.....x (For romantic souls only!)

Petra by night is beautiful. There are candles that light your way thru the Siq and illuminate the Treasury. It looks surreal. Once everyone is seated , someone begins to play the flute for about 10 mins. You sit looking up at the stars in...More

The person who was addressing the audience was close to pathetic. Also the instrument players sounded more like not needed. There should be far better ways to showcase this wonder of the world

I apologize for the late response but you will certainly have to exit and pay to return. They are two separate events that both require payment to enter.

Yes, you can purchase just before, BUT what a tacky show. You will see nothing of Petra either on the walk in (in the dark over uneven, rough and sandy surfaces - 1.5 km). The Treasury will be lit only with candles placed... More

From the entrance to siq takes more or less half an hour by walk (one way). However, you can opt to ride via horse, donky or camel but with extra fee, and I guess very expensive. And yes, just stay at the usual pathway which... More
