If you travel by historical places you should definitely visit it. In a rainy day it's very tragic and dark and impressive place to feel all the pain and suffer of nations in WWII. It's not happy at all and not recommended to see for emotional people 'cos you literally feel the suffer of these poor people. It's very quiet... More

It has been my 6th visit to this memorial for my life. Nothing has changed for all these years. But it must be visited!!! Lots of Belarusian families do it from time to time and I could see some elderly couple telling their grandchildren the sad story of this village. If you are a tourist, it will help you to... More

An incredible experience. So moving and tragic. A symbol for all of the tradgedies that happened in Belarus in villages like this. We did it with a fantastic guide from Minsk. Not sure about public transport but it was easy to get to in a car from Minsk. The memorial is awe inspiring and sums up the tragedy. Everything is... More

This memorial is witness to the many atrocities committed by the Nazis during WWII. Belarus was part of the blood lands where tens of thousands of innocent men, women and children were killed.

I actually thought we had booked the tour to Khatyn outside Smolensk in neighboring Russia, the site of the murder of at least 4,000 Polish officers and intelligentsia by the NKVD on Stalin's orders. Indeed our guide has difficulty explaining the difference in pronunciation between the two massacre sites. But I am very glad we did go to this memorial... More

A sobering tribute to the average villager who wanted nothing more than to live their lives in peace. The Nazis came through in WW 2 and rounded up all those in the villages and massurdered them in brutal fashion. This is a must see near the city of Minsk.

Cowardly massacres by nazis remembered. Never realised they killed children for their blood and experimented on them.incredible no. Of concentration camps in Belarus, we only ever hear of a few outside Belarus.

A very profound experience of remembrance of such cruelty within the setting that engulfs you with a sense of tranquillity, peace and remembrance. Beautiful surroundings.
