Cool place

Loved the place and all the old timey souvenirs. Lady that worked there was very warm and inviting. You can sit on the porch and play checkers if you get tired of looking around

People in this place are very nice and friendly. I found everything in the store very interesting. I bought several gifts and some things for myself.

It was quite disappointing. I thought we were going into a big ol' time general store. Full of old fashioned candy, nostalgic items, almost a museum like experience........that's what you get for thinking. It is quite small when you get inside. People just walk in a circle. They have the same old fashioned candy you can buy at any store.... More

Proprietor is friendly but there just isn't much to see here. Very little locally-produced goodies in this store. I've heard good things about the music performances they hold in the evenings but we haven't attended.

Love to visit every year to get some old fashioned candy and a glass bottle of soda. If you are in Mountain View, you have to swing by. Saturday nights they might have some live bluegrass.

Not a lot of merchandise, but the owner was very nice and willing to cut a good deal. There is a small theatre in the rear of the store and they offer live local entertainment on weekends. Ample parking

This store is a cute shop to stop by and look at. The outside is well decorated and draws you in, so my friends and I stopped by to take a peek inside. The store is full of lots of unique items, and the staff was very friendly and informative. Overall I would say that a quick stop in the... More

Mellon's is a fun place to stop. There are many unique to the Ozarks gifts and all priced reasonably. There are snacks and soft drinks. The evening show is a hoot! There is plenty of good bluegrass music and comedy. Reserve your ticket or come early as the show room fills up quickly. There is ample parking on a gravel... More

The outside of the building sure looked promising; just like an old time general store. The inside, however, was awfully sparse. Very little was on the shelves, and what their was looked picked over. I am guessing that they were ending their season and allowing their inventory to dwindle. About the most interesting thing inside was the 2 minute loop... More

Lots of interesting things inside this place. Just stop in and look around and be amazed. Try the boiled peanuts ...they are awesome.
