Even now with the rivers so high it was a very nice visit. Follow the signs to the spring. It was roaring and a very short pleasant walk. As usual there is a sign at the end not to go on the rocks, as usual,...More

Our first trip to Blanchard Springs Carverns we didn't go to the springs. Big mistake. It's only a short drive past the caverns entrance & well worth the drive. Beautiful, easy walk along rushing waters to a lovely sight of water flowing out of the...More

My wife and I loved visiting this place. It was really pretty in February and we enjoyed our short hike down the nature trails.

Great place to get out, stretch your legs, and get some fresh air. The trail down to the springs and waterfall / mill is pretty easy...but a little slippery in places. I highly recommend.

Great for family with young children, hikes are not too long, the guided tour of the caverns were fun and informative, the mirror lake was serene and the camping ground is good for picnics even if you don't stay overnight. Children love the shelter-cave near...More

Yes, there is a public use area at Blanchard on the left just before you get to the campground area. There are picnic tables and grills available in the tree line around a large open area.. There is a fee. I'm not sure, but... More
Did you buy tickets at the park or online? I was going to get advance tickets. But when I plugged in the information, it was $5 per child plus a $3 reservation fee? Just wondering if tickets are $8 for kids at the door or the $5 posted.

We buy the tickets when we arrive. The tickets are only for the cave tours. At times we have had to wait for a later tour, but usually find things to busy ourselves with during the wait.
Why is the road shut down before crossing the concrete bridge? I understand why the campground is closed across that bridge but why is the road closed? Thanks.

They had flooding their this winter, could pertain to that or maybe opens Memorial Day. Ask at the big cave building. Rangers there can answer your questions.
