As we make our way into the city of Santo Domingo, the first city to be...

As we make our way into the city of Santo Domingo, the first city to be built in the New World, we disembark on its waterfront. Breathtaking views portray a lowly Caribbean Sea.Discover ancient real estate wrought by accents epitomizing French neoclassical designs. Delicate facades elaborated in stucco entrap visitors in the thick of 500 years of history. We will visit the first institution of higher learning. Make a stopover through the most splendid and arty manifestations of the Dominican cultural realm. We will undertake a tour of the Colonial Zone, where monuments and museums highlight the most critical periods of colonial times. A walk in the Alcázar de Colón will enrapture us back to the era of the first Spanish conquistadors. Indulge in the solemnity of the Catedral Primada de América, where the seeds of a fervent Catholic faith were first sowed.

Spent the day with Dario and Enrique in Santo Domingo. Dario did a great job in English and French explaining about the history and scenery of the DR as we drove to our destination, and Enrique did a fabulous job driving that huge bus down some impossibly tight streets. We stopped at Columbus's burial site (wish we could have gone... More

We had the luck of having rain pretty much our entire stay in Punta Cana so we decided last minute to book a City Tour to Santo Domingo. Our guide Dario & Driver were fantastic. Dario was very knowledgeable, informative and made the entire trip a fun experience and he answered all of our questions without a problem. I would... More

We were picked up right at our resort ( Reserve Paradisus) in Punta Cana. Our tour guide was named Nacho and he was funny, knowledgeable, and made the trip really fun. Our driver was Robert. He did a great job keeping us safe and comfortable. I'd go on any tour Nacho facilitates. His quick wit and belly laugh was contagious.... More

It was our first time on a zip line and it was great. The harness was good quality and double cables made for a very safe ride. Melvin was a great guide on our truck ride from the resort and Juan Cruz was a very safe and smooth driver. The only negative is that it took a long time to... More

My boyfriend, brother-in-law and myself went on this full day excursion we boarded our bus at 7 am and arrived back at our hotel by 6:30pm. We came prepared with water and snacks (we made some sandwiches at our hotels buffet), while the tour provides a great buffet lunch (traditional Dominican foods) we were thankful the snacks we packed as... After a short van ride to La Estancia we joined up with other travellers from Punta Cana etc. Guests were sorted according to languages spoken and an appropriate guide was assigned. Our English guide Munchi and our driver Wilbur were vey good. Munchi explained Dominican history and relevant facts while we were on the bus and Wilbur efficiently dealt with... More

This trip was everything I expected. Lots of information and lots of historic sight seeing which I loved. Dario and Rene were really nice and knowledgeable ... the only downside is the long drive from punta cana, but it's worth it ! :)

Bavaro to Santo Domingo is a long drive of around 2/12 hours with the transfer of buses. The large bus was basically full with mainly Anglophone and Francophone tourists. Our guide Dario was fantastic, he was knowledgeable, informative, attentive, considerate (made sure we had enough pit stops and were in the shade when he explained history to us), funny, and... This was a good tour with a delicious lunch! Our tour guide, Darios, was knowledgeable and our driver Enrique was excellent manuevering through the streets. You do not get to go inside of Christopher Columbus's monument where he is buried, and we would have liked to have done that. We felt rushed going through the different sights, but they are... More

Had a excellent day trip to Santo Domingo with our driver Enrique and guide Nacho who made the day both interesting and informative, keeping everyone engaged despite having to communicate in English, Spanish and French. All the attractions and sights were fully explained both by Nacho and the guides in situ. A nice buffet lunch was followed by a 4D... More

Dear Mark, Thanks for choosing us. We are more than glad that you had a pleasant experience with us at our Santo Domingo City Tour. We will let both Enrique and Nacho know about your kinds words about them. About Francis Drake, unfortunately, for our country and Spaniard history, he is and will always be a pirate.
