Windy beach surrounded with resorts

Bavaro beach did not suit us, it is surrounded with resorts and hard to access if you are not a guest. Lots of locals trying to sell stuff, and they are really annoying. Lots of sea weed, very windy, and hard to swim in the ocean. Outside the beach there are lots of restaurants, intensive traffic so be careful when walking around. Everything is very expensive in this area.

We would go again...maybe tomorrow!

My wife and I recently completed a week's vacation to "Be Live" all inclusive in Punta Cana/Bravaro. The accommodations at Be Live included great food (better than most all-inclusives in D.R.) The resort is right on the beach with plenty of shade areas and loungers (but go reserve your loungers and palapa by 7:00a.m.! After 9:a.m. they are hard to find!). Each night the resort included 2 to 3 one hour long free entertainment shows and or live music. This rates 4 star not 5, but at the affordable price of trip it was well worth it! Arrange for the 1.5 hour Time Share presentation and say "no", and you still have the advantage of a 4 night/5 day resort package! The beach is very swimmable, no waves or shore break, and great daily excursion options too. This resort has both family areas, and adults only areas which made it very comfortable. I took lots of good photos which I'd be happy to share DLDBOB@AOL.com

Nice but many lounge chairs broken or badly worn. Needs a facelift. Lots of hawkers trying to sell photos with a monkey or iguana. Bad for the animals!!

Noisiest resort we have ever been to! All music was played way beyond acceptable volume and all coming from different areas at once! Not a place for non smokers as only restrictions in rooms and even that is not monitored! Not a place for persons with mobility issues! Beach was crowded with beach chairs cramped together in many rows. Again, noise and smoking an issue. Lots of seaweed and debris. Housekeeping very poor. Bathrooms old and in need of repair. Very poor bed pillows and dirty floors and again… noise. Staff talk loudly and shout to each other starting at 6 am!
Food okay, not great. Dishes and cutlery often dirty. Service in main buffet slow.
The entire property consists of several hotels that look very similar but access is decided by the colour of your bracelet. Very confusing and uexplained. Often felt discriminated.
If you are looking to relax this is not the place!

Mamey Bar (lobby) is a fun atmosphere! Yaditza Gil wins waitress of the week! There were 6 of us and she remembered our drink orders all week! Super friendly, always smiling, too bad there were not duplicates of her! :)

Beautiful long beach with white soft sand, great for long walks. we loved to sit on the beach and listen to the soft waves rolling in. So calming and peaceful

Butler David and rest of the staff

Our Butler David was fantastic! Went above and beyond. He had gotten our room moved to building 4 to be closer to the XHale lounge and pool. Also arrange a surprise bday cake for my husband.
We can’t really say anything bad about this resort. This our 6th time at resort. What brings us back are the workers and the food. We think the food at Breathless is better tasting than secrets Cap Cana and secrets Royal Beach
We also was able to catch up with one of our past Butlers Emilio. This staff really works together to help make guests stay wonderful.
Sometimes the stay messes up, but rest assured they what hey can to make it right. The staff strive to go out of their way for guests to have a good time. With or without alcohol.

Nice beach to walk along. The vendors are aggressive and could be rude if you don't go into their store. Don't take their first price and negotiate
