It happened to be opening of one of the entry for the temple. The lit lamps gave the temple a spectacular view. Lord Shiva had destined me and my family to be there on this auspicious day. Such a peaceful and marvelous temple.

A huge grey head of Shiva dominates one entrance, the others are hung with coloured bunting; it has a deep sandy courtyard, a small caged Nandi, weighing scales, donation boxes, oil lamps and an inner shrine behind golden doors - quiet, mystical and unassuming.

There was nothing on when we visited, though there is a lovely peaceful feel about this place. The main festival is in February and I hope to return sometime to see that as I’ve heard it is spectacular.
