Happened to be in town for the Our Lady of Guadeloupe celebration. The park was packed and the Marimba Band was really playing well. You can join in the dancing and enjoy the beauty of this little park and the people.

This was a wonderful experience. The park gets full of families, from grandparents to little children. A really nice family activity to do and its close to downtown. So you have a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance. Also very safe.

We were sad that we only had one night in Tuxtla because we wanted to enjoy more of the Marimba music. Get there early, so that you can get a seat. (6:00-9:00pm) every night. A nice couple let us sit on their bench. I got some great pics of people dancing, the balloon man, the clowns and more. It was... More

This park is fun for watching people dancing to life folk marimba (xylophone). You see people of different ages dancing to merengue, samba, etc. The place has a family atmosphere and there are lots of street vendors. Across from the park they sell delicious unusual flavors ice cream.

The Park is a safe place to sit down and just relax. In the evenings they have Marimba concerts where locals dance and anyone can join. All for free. A beautiful experience.

This is one of the highly popular parks in town due to the fact that people gather around 6 to hear and dance marimbar. People usually start coming around 4/5pm in order to grab a seat at one of the benches. The music is lively, and the people there are very kind. People seem to come here on a regular... More

Go there for some old time style community dancing and music. Good fun on the Friday night we went, bringing all kinds of locals out to dance to the great Band who were on.
