We stayed in Malancrav in one of the village houses. This is a very interesting experience, and is quite basic accomodation if you don't mind this kind of thing. The village itself has changed little over the centuries, and old ways of farming are still...More

Beautiful old buildings, very fairy-tale. Malancrav in the better setting, in a quiet village. Malancrav also has painted walls inside. Biertan has a very old lock which is a masterpiece of its time.

We saw several fortified churches in Transylvania. When visiting the castle-church of Heltau/Cisnadie we got a tour guide, who gave detailed information about the castle church. Apparently this fortified structure gave great security to few families (around 150) in the area. The church still has...More

Transylvania has very interesting and beautiful villages, wonderful forests, cute houses with interesting windows. I visited 10 countries until now. But Romania (especially Transylvania) is my favorite. If you visit Romania, you don't stay in Bucaresti only, but also you should go to Transylvania. Because...More
