It takes about an hour or so to go round, but the museum is very well presented. There was virtually no one there when we went and the exhibits tell the story of opium through the centuries to the present day, with interactive tapes and videos. Interesting museum - looks at the history of opium dealing and smuggling in the area. Takes about 30- 45 minutes to go through

I visited the Hall of Opium when I was visiting my Ex - girlfriend in Thailand.. I had Friends in Chang Rai and we rented some Mopeds and had a blast around the Stunning Countryside. What a Place! The Countryside around the Hall is large jagged Hills with Jungle style forests covering them.. lots of small farming (quite poor) Villages... More

The museum is built well, good designed and thought through. Yet i wish the first film would have been longer and more informative. if you really want to know much- there is a lot of reading to do through the whole museum. and with a child that doesn´know english- it is not so much to get out of a visit... More

Found the museum very thought provoking. Brilliantly set out from amazing entrance through dark corridor to layout of cool rooms. Loved our visit.
