I visited several tombs in Multan but this was by far my favourite and I could have sat here for hours, among the beautiful trees and gorgeous blue and white tiles. It has a different feel to the other shrines, it has a different cultural influence yet feels right at home in Multan. I'm so glad that I went to see this.

This is a graceful old classical shrine with a beautiful touch of Iranian construction touch, situated in the walled area of Tha ancient MULTAN city.Hazrat Shah Yousuf Gardez was an Islamic saint who came to Multan, Pakistan in 1088 AD and is said to have restored the city, converted many people to the Islamic religion and performed numerous miracles.
The care taker of this shrine is a famous feudal Syed Gerdezi family. They are the Nobel people and well educated.Any one can go and visit the Shrine for their spiritual satisfaction.

Located in NW part of walled city of Multan. Accessible from 2 -3 directions. Normally extreme rush on road side of the shrine. Recommended to visit with driver or ricksahaw to avoid problem of parking. Normally open early morning till night. Facilitator is in the shrine, knock at the door and he will open for slightly off time visitors. During busy hours be aware of pick pockets. Respect customs and rituals at least, if you do not beleive.

Multan is a city of shrines and tombs and I usually try visiting the most of these on my occasional visits to the city, this one is my all time favorite. A place of peace and spirituality. Do follow Muslim dress code to visit this place, though.

the road was not good, deep inside dark streets, cleanliness is a serious issue, needs maintenance, however OK for Sufi people

I am frequent visitor the Tomb of Hazrat Shah Yousaf Gardez. You will be surprise to see a set of following things, no one expected inside the walled city:
1. According of some "RAWAYAT" there is a place called "Qadam Gah of Hazrat Ali as). The other qadam gah related to Hazrat Ali a.s is in Hyderabad.
2. around 1100 old.
3. The architecture of Tomb. Exotic display of blue pottery tiles make you love the place.
4. The most calm and lively graveyard in Multan. If you visited other grave yards at night you would definitely feel trouble. The calmness of the graveyard make you visit again and again. Not only this will help you to recite a verse or two for the benefit of people resting there.
5. Although it belong to Shia sect, but it has always remain the center of Unity among Muslims. You will see Sunni and Shia brothers reciting Prayers side by side.
6.One of better religious gathering center in Town with preaching respect to all sects of Islam.
7. Cleanliness.
and much more.
