My guide showed me the hidden temples today and this was one of them. Also the cave nearby for meditation left me speechless. I could see the monks having their lunch and how hey live. Absolutely fantastic.

This small but important pagoda is well worth a visit with very interesting murals. Three linked temples are quite different. The nearly catacombs and monks retreat are also very interesting.

I didn't go inside this one. From the outside it isn't that much different from other temples. It's located near a below-ground monastery.

This temple has a rather insignifanct appearance. But inside the building the walls are completely covered with very fine and impressive mural paintings, representing Buddhas life and the 'Temptation of Mara', erotic frescoes. No photos are allowed. Well worth a visit.

Using the pony and cart to see this pagoda was easy. Be sure to take off shoes and socks when wandering around.

Worth visiting if you have the time and interested in art & history. Full of old murals, so you need a Guide or Guide book to explain as language is a problem in Myanmar.

This temple has a full set of murals of Buddha's life, but you need a guide with a flashlight to explain them to you. It is not allowed to take pictures inside in order to protect the murals.

Tip: you will need a flash light to see the murals. This temple is small, from outside it looks a lot like the other temples around but it has nice murals inside about Buddha's life, although is very damaged (outside and inside). Another interesting thing...More
