Place where we will find Aceh's culture and history. Many information and pictures represent Aceh's culture since many years ago.

Entrance : IDR10,000 and there is a Rumah Acheh Pavilion that can be visited. There is a staff that will be assisting you here and you generally can read on your own. There is also few replicas on the history of Masjid Baiturrahman here which I find it really interesting.
Next, we proceed to next building which there is 2 floors of exhibition about Acheh. If you into history, you will find it beneficial. I also learnt about how Acheh is known as Tanah Rencong and it even has the best coffee beans.
Before we end our visit, we managed to talk with one of the staff which used to be a Tsunami victim. Do come and visit this place and it close at 4.30pm. So,please plan accordingly

The small museum gives a short but very clear history lesson about Aceh. It is informative and it gives an impression how Aceh developed thru time. Admission fee is Rp 10.000 which does not break the bank

Nice museum with traditional Aceh house model. You will gain knowledge in this museum about Aceh, many exhibiting antiques from the trading period and the Aceh tradition. The museum is open from morning but at lunch hour it will close and open again after that.

This museum is quite informative if you want to learn about Aceh history and culture. When I went to this place, there was no guide so what I could do was walk around the museum and only read the information available.
The most interesting historical thing of this museum for me is the Lonceng Cakra Donya (big bell in front of the museum) which was a gift from China kingdom to the royal kingdom of Samudera Pasai in the 15th century as a symbol of friendship ties.

I visited this museum with my colleagues as we went to do a benchmark with unsyiah. We stopped by at this museum as we were guided by the driver we rented as we arrived at Banda Aceh airport. There were so many information such as Aceh's heroes, traditional houses, traditions, equipments they used for daily lives. Interesting place to visit and certainly recommended. The museum guide was so friendly we enjoyed our visit.

Great place to gain history knowledge. From the old scenario till the new Aceh after the tsunami tragedy. The subject is superbly presented and for sure you'll be touched on how the local protected their lovely land from being colonized. Such a fighter!! Even my 9 years daughter are interested with the story explained by our guide Mr. Safriyal...Unlucky when my phone battery are out so the picture are so limited. And the only thing we can do is to ask help from our superb guide to take our phote using his handphone.. hehehe.. Tq bro...

The Rumah Aceh (traditional house) was interesting, and it worth climbing upstairs to see the pictures of Aceh's heroes along the walls. Inside the museum, there are so many interesting objects to be learnt. The museum is a must-visit, and don't forget to pose in front of the house.
