The temple is has Sivan as the main deity. The journey to see him is very rewarding. The Jambukeswarar is inside a small cave and quite dark. But u will have an amazing darshan. Overall an ecstatic experience.

This is one of the oldest temples of Siva in south india must visit not only for praying but for getting a close look f the statues .the oldest jamun tree where lord siva was residing

The large towers, spacious mandapams, pathways, dimly lit walkways, enormous walls--transforms the huge temple complex into a bygone era of spirituality. A visit in the evening would be special. This is a spectacular temple. Take your time and enjoy the great stone work and a true wonder. Lovely carvings of elephants. One shows an elephant escaping from a spiders Web.

The sheer size and architecture is mind boggling. The perennial gushing of water at the sanctum sanctorium of Lord Jamnbukeswarar is amazing. The beauty of Goddess Akilandeswari cannot be explained but is to be experienced.

I think water element temple in Tamilnadu, lot of features in this veryvery old temple, nature look , inside art, sivan & amman also very beautiful , powerfull, lot of tourist attractions also including this temple, every body must visit this jambukeswarar temple.

We have visited this temple in afternoon and it was very hot climate. Please visit this place at early hours in morning. May be before 10 AM and at evening hours after 4.

The shrine was sung by famous saivate saint Thirunaukarasar. This was the 60th Lord Shiva temple on the northern bank's of cavery river according to thevaram hymns. Lord jambukeswarar is a swayambu moorthy.This temple is one of the panchabudha sthalam with water importance.
